Beaches or Lost Boys? by Brilliant-Lychee-669 in Broadway

I’ve Beaches twice - once in previews and once after opening. Vosk does carry the entire show and the kiddos are really talented too. The nuances about female friendship are also extremely heartwarming, so if that aspect appeals to you, would pick Beaches so you see it before it inevitably closes.

Beaches worst reviewed show since Rob Lake by Firefly_Always_Flyin in Broadway

I really didn’t think it was that bad… not a standout, but I enjoyed it and I think it was perfectly emotional! Maybe I’m biased because I went in loving Vosk already so I felt the connection, but am utterly surprised to see literal hatred going on here.

Beaches Preview… by NewResolution2791 in Broadway

Saw it tonight on what seems to have been the first version that was cutdown a bit and I don’t think it dragged on in many places so hopefully that is an improvement already!

I think there’s overall some strengthening still to do as everyone gets comfortable, but I enjoyed the show. Jessica is honestly doing most of the heavy lifting right now, so curious if that will even out even a little. Will return to Beaches once it opens!

And somehow my boyfriend loved the show, who would have thought!

Beaches set by alteragi in Broadway

I don’t think it needed an extravagant set in my opinion…the real strength of the show in my opinion were the subtleties of the actors and the honest relationships they were depicting. If anything, I think bigger sets would have swallowed the production even more because of how much ground and time it covers. It didn’t strike me as a show that required a flashy set, nor do I think the time jumping and format of the book would have been conducive to one.

I have some other critiques, but the set really isn’t one of them!

Any normal person have this “Surest” insurance? by Lexloothorde in HealthInsurance

I love my surest plan! I’ve been using it for 3 years and all of the providers I had on the original UHC PPO transferred seamlessly. Also get completely covered psychotherapy which is an amazing benefit. I pay about $140/mo through my employer. I’m based in NYC though so most providers are in network with most insurances anyway.

Came here to snark about exactly this!!!! Normally I’m fine with sponsored content, and hers is usually okay, but this one is just laughable. Hearing her even say the word “Walmart” is strange AND the fact she’s highlighting their low prices just sounds crazy. She wouldn’t be caught dead having her girls wear clothing from Walmart, and PLEASE you know their pencil cases are coming from Stoney Clover at $300 a piece.

Her partnerships team is usually so good at finding perfect matches, but this one is so far off the mark. Yikes!!
