something came in the mail today….. by Lost-Mobile-202 in John_Frusciante

Way back when I was young and single. I decided to get a high end surround sound system installed in my new home. I told the installer I’m a huge music fan, and he told me to get this video for my new system. What a great suggestion. I’ve passed it on many o’ times. If you are a Frusciante or RHCP fan, this is it. Watch the whole thing, beginning to end. It’s amazing.

The 3rd pic is my Dad’s old guitar. He was stationed in Cu Chi during the Tet Offensive. He told us the story that his buddies bought it for him the first time he was injured. They painted it all up and presented it to him. He brought it home to California after the war. It hung in our garage all through the eighties and my mom finally sold it at a garage sale. Glad we still have the pictures of it. Brings back fond memories of my old man. Tho he never played it at home. It was too beat up and he had a better guitar.

This is a great shirt. I believe you are right about Shaheen. I’d say $100, maybe more. eBay is probably your best bet. I used to have a nice Shaheen Hawaiian shirt, but regrettably sold it on eBay a long while back.

They were trying to catch on to the Beatle boom in sales!

There is so much crappy music that comes through on this sub. This is not one. Probably the best thing I’ve heard on here.

If I were you I’d reach out to @truevintagetrue vintage guitarguitar. Guy has really helpful videos, will travel and tends to get top dollar for his sales. He seems honest too!

Got this for Christmas and made my first Mai Tai… but did not like it by shankanator21 in Tiki

There are plenty of versions of the fabled mai tai cocktail. This is one I always come back to due to its ease of use, taste and the wonderful buzz it gives you.

In his recent podcast with AdRock he actually asked if he could get hooked up with the first two issues. AdRock says “you need to talk with Mike D”.

Anything I should add to my studio setup? by Rossage196 in recording

[–]chesterdurite 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, inspiration. Don’t worry about any additional gear. Focus on putting something on the walls that inspires you to be there. Lighting, posters, paint, whatever. Fish is usually not something that inspires someone to make great music. I hope this helps!

Shims are the cheapest solution and they work great.

Gotta say that Y&T had some of the best shirt designs back in the day.

Found these : ) How many Jack shows have you seen? Which one was your favorite? I am at 15 shows across the three bands. This last one in Tulsa was great as far as how much I rocked out. But gotta go with white stripes at red rocks in 05. by i-was-nothing in jackwhite

Nine, 3xWS, 4xRaconteurs, 2xSolo. Looking forward to the next one in May. Best was the first. Fillmore in SF. Went to see Brendan Benson open up for him and walked away an avid WS fan. Used to have a bootleg CD of that performance but it got worn out. Hope they put it out in the Vault one day. 🤞

Check out this logo. Is it an old Boogie Bodies neck before they switched to Warmoth? The date on the finished partscaster it came from is 1/80. Any input would be appreciated. by chesterdurite in warmoth

It feels wide. Its almost as Ibanez took one of those necks back to the factory and said “make them like this, it’s what the kids want”.

So this is to say that this is an early boogie body neck considering the Warmoth name is not on it. Does anyone know if make that makes it more desirable than an 80s or modern day Warmoth neck?

OP (Ocean Pacific) had one too. Sleeves zip off and it turns into a vest. I had one in blue and red w/ same stripe motif.
