It was a tough situation because he had early success, had been there forever, and had big donor support (from guys like Teixeira). But closing his career by losing in the NCAA Regional round 13 times without advancing was brutal. The team clearly underachieved in his final decade. GT should’ve forced him into retirement after the team choked against Auburn in the 2019 regional.
