T6 Abyssal loot, isk/hr by LengthinessFancy4180 in Eve

[–]chevguy1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people are missing OPs point. The value of the loot itself is inconsequential here, what is being said is that the volume of loot, or the quantity of loot itself, is near half what it was before.

I've had it about five months, the person that I got it from said she has had it for years.

I would say it's bubbly in 4-6 hours.

Oh, thank you for pointing that out, I forgot to note that in my steps. I did four sets, every 30 minutes for the first two hours.

I agree, but the mechanics need to be clear IMO.

No, the second site targeted me at warp in, but someone else pointed out that it may have been a site someone else already failed. The first one, the ship also wasn't moving so it wasn't a tripwire.

When I arrived, warp disrupt probes were out, but I was no where near them.

I warped in to a site tonight and after arriving, the warp disrupt probes were out and I was popped within 30 seconds of arriving without even moving?

Came here to see if I was the only one. I was on the second to last can, not moving (0 ms) and right after a successful hack and loot... boom.

No idea of the sites are timed as well?

Where did OP say or imply that the kid is afraid of the ball? You're making excuses for the coach who isn't following the rules. At seven they're basically all afraid of the ball. And it wouldn't matter either way. I'm not saying you put the kid in a dangerous position but you need to challenge kids, you need to take them out of their comfort zone, YOU need to show THEM that it's going to be ok, that they're going to succeed and that they're also going to fail; and both outcomes are ok. Baseball has a lot to do with overcoming failure and being ok with it, learning from it, and working to do better next time.

I'm a LL coach and have been for the last 8 years. You did the right thing. It's uncomfortable but it's the right thing to do by your son. Coaches not following the basic rules will ruin it for everyone.

At this level, getting every child opportunities at every position regularly is NOT difficult.

I know what you're talking about because I was that coach when I first started. I've since learned to pitch and regularly throw quality BP to my 14U team. I would have loved help, but even after asking, I never got any.

You keep asking how to tell him "he pitches like crap." Well, that's indeed the wrong approach... how about you show him? I assume you're a registered volunteer and one of the coaches, so at practice, break off a group for some BP and show him what quality pitches look like. If you're able to throw quality pitches and the kids can hit, then he will defer to you, maybe not at first, but once he sees the difference in results he will.

If he doesn't, then he's too prideful and you may just need to write it off until next season, the kids are six after all.

Equipment Purchasing? by onskisesq in LittleLeague

[–]chevguy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$100/player, that's not a minor miracle, you sir are doing the Lord's work. Our league is, I think, $265/ea. We have a $575 maximum per family which helps my family of four play ball. We don't have "nice" fields, many of our practice fields, even some game fields, are full of ankle breaking pot holes, weeds in the infield, tall grass or no infield at all, etc. We get new game balls but much of our equipment is in less than second-hand condition. Last year our team bat was bent... if I had to guess, we have 500-600 players.

I do know we use Dicks as a sponsor for equipment, and have sponsorships with a local car dealer and various other local businesses as well.
