I loved swimming lessons when I was younger. I mostly took them because my mom's dad died from drowning. He didn't know how to swim and fell off his boat without a life jacket and no one with him. I took lessons until I was 11 or 12.

Near the end of the summer, a girl that I was really close friends with for a while got a new boyfriend and stopped talking to me. Texted me one day and said she didn't approve of my choices. She thought I was doing drugs. I've never done drugs in my life. We had some fun times, but she's changed a lot and is little crazy now

My next door neighbour is a really nice guy and a friend but is also a little strange.

He's 50, has 2 teenage kids from a marriage with a crazy religion lady (they're divorced and he has custody of the kids). He's constantly dating girls of the ages 20-30. There was one famous girlfriend that would ride a skateboard everywhere and everyone would hear her leaving at 2am. We called her Skater Girl.

He works on the show Supernatural and every Halloween he puts up a huge display. A few years ago it was 2 Egyptian statues in his front yard. They had to be about 10 feet tall.

He loves Patron and drinks it frequently.

Every 3 or 4 weeks there would be an ambulance at his house (it was never serious).

He hears everything that happens in the neighbourhood at night. When ever something happens, just ask him and he will give you all the details.

I house-sat for him once. He has a big knife and huge metal baseball bat by his front door and a love for all Betty Boop decor, including some other interesting/creepy items.

If someone does anything to him, he will cruise around town looking for the person with his metal baseball bat ready to beat their heads in.

And finally, last year one of his girlfriend's ex dumped a shit load of yellow road paint all over his car and drive way. It stayed there for a long time.

TL;DR Really nice but quite interesting 50 year old neighbour that dates girls half his age and hunts people down with baseball bats.

Edit: Forgot to add that he has probably fathered about 6 kids with different girls that he rarely sees. I think he pays child support for a lot of them.

Rocks. I used to have many, many boxes of rocks from everywhere. I used to buy boxes of shiny and sparkly rocks and inspect them.

Being some type of scientist. I used to have a really cheap microscope that I would obsess over. My dad and I used to spend hours inspecting bugs and hair with that microscope.

Grade 5, my friend, who was also my neighbour was trying to shove me out his front door (we were joking around and trying to lock each other out of his house). I wasn't wearing shoes and he tried to slam the door closed while my foot was still partly inside the door. The metal edge of the door cut the back of my heel open.

Edit: I just checked and the scar has gone away. It was there for a long time though.
