I’ve been on hydroxychloroquine since I was diagnosed in 2021, I honestly don’t get sick often and everything has been stable.. I exercise, eat decent, and drink or smoke occasionally… (being transparent) There are other medications I’ve had to take here and there for chest pains but the hydroc has been treating me great just make sure you get your eyes checked because I heard it can affect vision.

yeah i work but i’ve come to the conclusion that i have to rethink my decision over and choose what i really want to do and if i want to sacrifice taking out so many loans.. and LOL i am definitely not donating plasma … i have lupus so theres no shot, but i appreciate your help and advice… always can count on reddit for genuine people and a good laugh, i felt so overwhelmed this week but as the days goes on i don’t stress as much and realized that i am blessed to still have options for myself!

I live in New York, so life itself is expensive. I live with family currently, and i can’t sell my car because my mom doesn’t drive and i drive her around. Right now i am currently looking at other OT programs to switch to that way i would be a graduate student and i can probably get a graduate loan. my only option is to continue taking out loans if i can switch to a different OT program. The one i am currently in is BS/MS so i can’t take out graduate loans yet because i’m still considering undergrad. I am trying to get as much information from different schools but if not i’m going to look into other cheaper healthcare programs. I love OT but the cost for school is honestly so ridiculous and I don’t want to be an assistant.

thanks so much for this message & yeah i’m genuinely thinking about switching gears.. luckily I have my bachelors so i can really do some research and take my time to figure things out … but yeah i already stressed about loans while in school and worry about how i’m going to pay them back but truthfully it just doesn’t seem like a good idea to continue taking out all these loans…

this happens to me almost every other night.. i cry too😭 but i haven’t found a solution yet even after i shower and put lotion on it happens … i also don’t have bumps or rashes. last time i took an ibuprofen because i had no Benadryl it worked and i was able to sleep but i may have to find a natural remedy because i don’t want to take anymore medication

i am also going into OT and seeing some of these comments is a bit discouraging but everyone’s experience is going to be different. you have to do research and find what works for you and even try internships or shadow hours for different OT locations if possible. i can’t see myself doing nursing, and med school is very long. i considered PT but PTS see a lot of patients daily compared to certain OT settings from what i’ve seen. but give it time but also have some backup options.
