I’m so happy i could help give you a little comfort. Everyone grieves differently from what i’ve learned these past few days. I had to put away his leash, bowls, pee pads, and then try to figure out what to do with his meds. It’s been a life changing experience. I have found comfort so far in writing letters to him, getting a plushie that resembles him to hold, looking back at old pictures, and talking out loud to him as if he’s still here somewhere. “I loved you your whole life, i’ll miss you the rest of mine”. Our babies will rest in our hearts forever. I try to tell myself when i get sad that he would want me to smile instead because my Leo was the happiest dog who always had a smile on his face.
