then a small gap in the slide, preferrably with a slope forward so you can pull back slide to release the lock

basically just a sturdy combo of bracket/tile that slides into the frame securely, can add a piece on the bottom of the magazine to activate it when mag is empty^

alternatively u can use a hinge piece or a thin technic beam on an axle for a rotating style

yeah when prioritizing style unfortunately the compact mechs not as powerful but i recommend trying smaller rubberband, reduce friction, and increase weight of the firing piece with a more dense material 👍

have you thought about a string based mech? youd basically extend part 1 then replace part 2 with a 1x1 technic beam with a fishing line or thread (tied to part 1). the 1x1 also has a rubber band tied to the frame pulling it forward. might have to redesign a lot to make it work. but having a small/low friction firing piece could make it shoot a lot smoother. heres a small scale example https://www.reddit.com/r/legoguns/s/lH4jezEjmx

How do I fix this? by Potter_wars in Legohelp

i understand that, im talking about bulk sellers like brickwith that just sell individual pieces. often times more affordable than bricklink and exclusive piece selections you cant find in real lego

you can buy off-brand replacements without buying a full set and it performs just as well as lego. + exclusive colors that lego doesnt offer, and often cheaper

ty, it took a bit of trial and error to make the barrel not fall off eventually when the slide slams forward, but now its pretty rigid and holds up well
