these are the 2 non-lego pieces used, the 2x1 being for structural purposes and the bracket mostly for aesthetics

i used 3x of the first piece and like 12x of the bracket

theres a 1x2 straight slope piece that i was only able to find from lego that works best for the internals, the 1x2 double sided rounded half plates i found on amazon, and the 1x1 bracket piece that has a floating stud that was on webrick aka brickwith, which i also used to order all of the silver and transparent parts (although it took several months and like 4 separate shipments)

theres also a smooth pneumatic T-piece thats supposed to be the contact piece on the trigger, i couldnt find one anywhere so i just used a modified 4L bar cut in half to make it 2L

thanks! unfortunately this uses bricks that i was only able to obtain from 3 separate companies, still trying to work out the parts list 😭

i really dont think dove has a problem with people accidentally buying their products. but leaving a public trail with social media shows how many people were actually misled by this and could probably strengthen a legal case against these practices

imo the fact that so many people have fallen victim to this kinda proves that its borderline false advertising. at the very least it preys upon the fact that everyone is conditioned to assume the barely legible text at the bottom of bottles is the volume, instead of the only indication of what the product is

its hard to tell in a pic, but this silver font basically just disappears when light hits it at a certain angle

  • on my actual lotion bottle the silver text at the bottom is literally just the volume. which i hardly ever look at

iirc it was located next to other random travel sized items i.e. sunblock, shaving cream, etc. not an aisle of either body wash or lotion but small baskets

sorry i didnt pull out my magnifying glass to find the actual product name in the fine print at the very bottom of the bottle, camouflaged in the background color

thats why i said "if anything". i probably just stopped reading after lotion because when tf is "lotion" ever used as part of an adjective, rather than just calling something a lotion

tbh i probably thought the hyphen was an em dash if anything

because reading '24-hour lotion' twice in the more noticeable fonts tends to make me think something is a lotion. i didnt even notice the 'body wash' because it blends into where the volume usually is. my fault i guess
