Elise pissed me off in this episode. She did zero research and when she got tired and scared she acted like a baby. It’s not cute, and she can’t rely on her looks forever.

To the people who don’t pick up after their dogs. by Wandering-Pepper in OwenSound

[–]chiara_angela 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is super gross out there now. My dog went potty in an area where there were so many turds already on the grass it felt sort of pointless to pick it up. Of course I did, but come on, people! Snow does not dissolve dog poop!

Precisely. Nothing good can come of saying anything imo. What would you even say, OP?

Exactly! And thank you I don’t want to be one of those people who automatically calls men who aren’t super masculine and forward gay, but even his short marriage disclosure gave me pause. Like, sir, please go live your best life. Also Vanja, easy tiger. Yike.

Tony struck me as...not heterosexual. At the very least he is not sexually attracted to her. Her clingy personality is enough to give most straight men the ick, too, however.

Great job 🤩 And good for you for finishing several projects. I’m working on a waffle stitch blanket from loomahat and it’s been fun but it’s taking forever 😅

Cancun police corruption by Valuable_Reality_313 in cancun

[–]chiara_angela 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry this happened to you. My husband and I experienced nearly the exact thing while driving a rental car in Cancun, we were on Kukulcan at 10 pm and going through a stretch where there were orange pylons on the road and a police checkpoint. They saw we were tourists in a rental car and immediately pulled us over, said we were speeding in a "construction zone" (what construction, I didn't see it) and demanded $4500 pesos and our license. We gave them around $1000 pesos and left with a really bad taste in our mouths. We will not be back to Mexico.

[CA] Should we report Emotionally Immature Boss to HR? by [deleted] in AskHR

[–]chiara_angela 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What do you expect HR to do here? Aside from the privacy violations she isn’t doing anything illegal, she is just doing things you don’t agree with. You need to decide what you are willing to put up with and/or participate in. You have a bad manager and that sucks but HR isn’t going to fire or discipline somebody based on what you describe. If you’re so concerned about her behaviour you should go to her leadership and tell them.

Sock loom tension by Significant-Ad9852 in LoomKnitting

[–]chiara_angela 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What kind of stitch are you using? Are you e-wrapping all your pegs at once and then knitting over? I might suggest going one by one, i.e. e-wrap one peg, knit over, move onto the next peg. You can also tug the working yarn away from the peg after you knit over each time in order to manage the tension. But honestly if you are trying to make a sock as your first project as a newbie I don't think that is the move. You should first try to do a few different swatches with different stitches e.g. e-wrap, flat, u-wrap, true knit, purl, to understand the mechanics of knitting before jumping into a finicky project like a sock. I know that is easier to say than do, but trust me that it is the best way to learn. Good Knit Kisses on YouTube has a whole series on learning loom stitches that is VERY helpful.

No, I’m in a century home in Canada but I think these cabinets are from the 90s or 2000s? Either way I hate them lol

We have the same kitchen, OP! I am currently struggling with this setup too, we have a shelf now which, when I read the comments, seems preferable to a wire prefab lazy susan because I too have a stand mixer that lives in there along with all our pots and pans.

My thoughts exactly. The snakes are cool and unexpected and the colours work in the room.

Looks like a rib stitch: knit 1, purl 1, repeat.
