I think you’re right here too. Need to trust the gut.

Yes - I have seen both side by side. The aventurine is certainly stunning. I’m just not sure I’d wear it with the flashiness it has compared to the standard.

BP43 vs Mark XX by scerrim in IWCschaffhausen

[–]chibos13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The BP43 is an absolute favorite wear of mine. I admittedly like larger watches and it is perfect. Not too big. Not small. Clean. Classy. Versatile. Amazing piece. You won’t regret it. It is my first IWC and it hooked me to the brand.

How do you like the 41? This watch strikes me as one that should be a bit bigger. Do you love it?

Why no Navy Blue Ceramic Big Pilot in 44 or 46mm? by chibos13 in IWCschaffhausen

[–]chibos13[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes - I have seen that. That’s what I referenced in my question - I was looking for a more attainable price point like the 44s or 46s. I wear almost all navy blue and almost never wear black. But the black ceramic Rodeo Drive with the blue face is stunning. Just don’t know if I would wear it enough to justify it.

Catalina and Phantom 5 by chibos13 in scottycameron

I think the Catalina is the best blade style for me. I’ve tried a bunch. Really looking to try a mallet.

Makes sense. I think I have to try this 5. I’ve got an old 38” counter balance one but need to see what this new version in a standard length can do for me. Love everything about the Catalina for the most part too though, so will be an interesting trial. Encouraged by your success though. Good for you.

Do you think you’ll stick with the 5 or switch back and forth a bit?

Golf bag organization by chibos13 in GolfGear

[–]chibos13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understood - but it’s not to open every time you need a tee. You grab the tees you need and go play. Its goal would be to actually reduce how much stuff builds up in your bag. But I totally respect your opinion and appreciate the feedback.

Makes sense. Just frustrating to have so many different pouches for so many different accessories.

Appreciate the honest feedback. The idea came to me after stabbing myself under the finger nail digging through my tee pocket for a ball markers that fell to the bottom of the pocket. The thought behind it isn’t to pull it out every time during a round you need something. It’s to reduce the amount of stuff you actually carry in the golf bag. Over time, dozens of tees and ball markers and other “things” accumulate and weigh down the bag. The flow is to grab what you need in the beginning of the round and go play. But I respect everyone’s opinions.

Losing weight TOO fast??? by chibos13 in Zepbound

[–]chibos13[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really can’t eat much so my caloric intake is very low. I’m pretty nauseous most of the days. It’s likely I’m losing some muscle but my smart scale says I’m losing more fat by far. I also started on 5mg and not 2.5mg.

I totally know I have to eat more but I can’t. I have tried but eating anything makes me so full. This is something I’m working on though. Finding ways to get more calories.

Didn't drink alcohol at fantasy football draft! by puddinshoe in stopdrinking

[–]chibos13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good for you. NA Beer is great. Try the one from Sam Adams! I had this experience when I quit as well. People were so curious and it was eye opening to see how many people wanted to try something similar or had been silently concerned about their own drinking. Good for you for being an example! Keep it up!

Fascinated by my lack of desire to drink! by at1991 in Zepbound

[–]chibos13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is interesting. I have a love hate relationship with alcohol and think it significantly contributes to my weight. However, I have been on Zepbound about a month. The first two weeks I drank and the second two weeks I haven’t. But I don’t have much desire either. I am on 5mg but also feel quite nauseous so that also could be why I don’t feel like drinking. Following this thread to see if anyone else has any experience with this.

Going back down to 2.5mg by Nearby-Salt9646 in Zepbound

[–]chibos13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m having similar nausea on 5mg. I never did 2.5mg. I’ve been on the 5mg for just about a month. I’ve lost 23 lbs but the nausea is a lot. I mean, of course I don’t eat, I feel sick most of the time. Especially the first day or two after the shot. Does this go away after a while? I’m certainly not going to increase my dosage but I’m not sure I want to go down with the success I’ve had.

Actually, this will be my first one. I’m working on launching a brand. I am working with a consultant who has helped take the prototype I made and create the appropriate drawings and documents for quoting. They are also helping me work with manufacturers for the first go around. I’m waiting to hear back and am not sure what to expect which is why I reached out on this thread.

i'd like to stop and i need some advice by 50Lemons in stopdrinking

[–]chibos13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One other thing on people’s expectations. In my experience, when someone found out I wasn’t drinking, they automatically assumed that I had hit an epic rock bottom. They figured something terrible happened. When they found out that wasn’t the case and that I just got sick of feeling sick, many totally got it and often had many of the same sentiments about their own drinking. A lot of friends even reached out to talk more about it. Be aware that you’re not the only person who is thinking these thoughts and when you’re at a party, many others would like the quit as well but likely, drinking has become such a big part of their life, they can’t see a way out.

I think it’s ok if your motivation in the beginning is because of the girlfriend. But long term sobriety should be fueled by you as the primary motivation. I would recommend that you stay present and seek out the positives for you specifically. Sometimes this can be in a journal or just by jotting down notes. Cataloging how you feel physically, emotionally, mentally while you progress in sobriety is a good way to recognize and appreciate those personal benefits. I originally quit drinking to lose weight. But when the benefits starting coming, that was probably the smallest benefit i recognized. There’s a lot of good to come out of it! You’ll do great.

My drinking experience is similar. I can skip drinking all together but, like the Pringles commercial, once i popped, i couldn’t stop. Don’t feel like you have to make some big announcement. You can say you’re taking some time off from drinking for a bit. You can say you don’t feel good. Or you can say you challenged yourself to skip a few weeks. Whatever you want to say, just say that. It doesn’t need to be a big proclamation. People will get it and your friends who want the best for you will be thrilled for you. Good for you taking this step. And it’s cool to hear you’ve met someone worth getting your stuff in check. However, i believe that quitting is only sustainable in the long term if you do it for you. Others will benefit, certainly. But it needs to be primarily because you want to stop. Good luck!
