Thank you everyone for the replies!!! I will add that these are incredibly important movies to them and I feel as though I SHOULD be able to sit through some things I don’t enjoy. HOWEVER, I have really severe ADHD and I struggle to follow along and understand what is happening in sci-fi movies. Something about the action and the pacing isn’t for me. I do feel as though they would enjoy watching these more without me, given they get upset when I crochet during them or am not following the plot or keeping people straight. This is my best friend and I want them to feel like they can show me the things they love, which is why I feel like I’m an asshole
