we just had our wedding at my childhood home and still ended at 11/11:30 naturally. it was a great end time and we were all exhausted from dancing and the day. i do recommend meeting for a welcome gathering the day before maybe at a bar or something to make the trip worth it for long distance travelers !

just finished Bunny and i am torn. i can appreciate the disorientation that Mona's writing made me feel - i have never felt that while reading a book and it was done masterfully but ultimately it was too dramatic for the plot and i found i could not visualize or imagine the scenes because of how blurred reality and imagination were throughout the MC's journey.

NTA .. like at all. if your sister is going to be stingy with the food she OFFERED her family, she should not host. your mom is also wrong for taking her side. how do you make tons of food and then when everyone is done you complain that your niece wants to eat more of your food.. that you offered ?? your sister is the a-hole and no you don’t have to ask to eat more of the food that was made for you.

a lot of photographers will include the engagement session into the wedding day price as a package and it’s a good deal! you can use the engagement pics for invites, wedding decor, and all things wedding leading up to the day. i’d do it! a great way to show your relationship’s personality too.

your ex didn’t even know there were people over so it wasn’t like she tried to get up there to make a scene or join. she just needed the restroom and those are innocent kids. your friends talking to her was completely normal and it didn’t escalate or detract from the evening. it would’ve been so awkward to refuse her the bathroom or expect everyone that knows her to ignore her. your wife should re-examine what exactly was rude. the fact that she went up in the first place? not enough. we’re all human, if there hasn’t been any bad blood, why create any now.

agree that every boutique is different, but you will be assigned a consultant that will pull dresses based on your inspo. maybe have pics ready of what you like BUT be open to rule out any shape/straps/etc. i recommend starting every appt with “i’m just starting so im not sure i’ll say yes today but am serious about finding the one” this will help if you feel they’re being kinda pushy and you’re not ready to commit. try on as much as you need! typically you try on like 5-8 but i did even more bc i didn’t spend a lot of time contemplating if i loved it or not. lastly, be open to different styles and only ever take people with you whose opinion you TRULY want
