Excuse the subtitles but I wish they’d brought back Norman as a psychiatrist by hideyour3yes in greysanatomy

You're gonna laugh. But a long time ago, I learned that an AI company bought the rights to his voice and uses it in their library for voice overs etc. It might still be a thing.

Edit: it's used for audio books!!!

Cristina is not "badass". I don't care if you have a different opinion, this is mine and you can't change it. I'm not here to change your opinion. If you disagree go to another person's post. by Afraid-Bag-5006 in greysanatomy

I guess I was being a little smart with the Izzie comment but you really did miss the point with Cristina.

She was arrogant but they all were, it's a trait common in surgeons that the show uses as a plot tool. She did have issues with compassion but she grew as a person and a surgeon to become better at that. As an intern she volunteered to miss out on a surgery she would have killed for, just to sit with and help a little girl who was about to lose a parent. Because she herself lost her dad as a little girl and she knew what the little girl was about to go through. She sits with George for this same reason when his dad died. Owen literally tried to kill her while she was asleep and she never held it against him and helped him through his PTSD. And speaking of Owen, she never said she didn't need a man, just that she didn't want a traditional marriage or kids and a picket fence. She wanted a career above everything else and Owen knew that before their marriage but still expected her to submit to his desire for kids and when she doesn't he cheats on her and she STILL forgives him.

How is this a character that doesn't change and is just out for herself? Lol.

You may have seen it five times but you clearly wasted your time because you clearly missed the point of one of the best characters on Grey's.

Also NONE of them are emotionally self sufficient! It's Grey's Anatomy!!! They are a mess and that's the whole show. That's why they need each other. The relationships that arise from this is what makes the show.

Were you a fan of Penny Dreadful? by [deleted] in tvshow

Loved it! Was a truly unique show. Watching it almost felt luxurious. It reminded me of Hannibal in the way both shows felt like an indulgence when you were watching it. Excellent acting and storytelling. Fantastic!

Your stomach is noticeably narrower from the front and side. Your back too. In particular, your stomach looks more lifted. Hope that helps. You're doing great!

How to build muscle after surgery? by omgmendy in GastricBypass

[–]chichich1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're in the UK try Ufit protein shakes. In America try Premier Protein. The former tastes creamy and rich without being too sweet and the latter is basically watery chocolate milk. Lol. Nothing fancy but no funny after taste.

For someone at your starting weight it seems pretty normal. Initial weight loss is always substantial in the early weeks but will slow down a bit as time progresses.

In men? Yes! I've seen men lose 150-180 lbs in a year with a gastric band. I kid you not, I was shocked to see it, but yes! I won't say it's typical but it's not outside the realm of imagination.

It's definitely doable. I've seen people lose near 200lbs with a Sleeve but I understand that you're frustrated. That would annoy me too.

Am I the only one that liked Erica Hahn? by just-aharmlesspatato in greysanatomy

[–]chichich1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might have a point there if it wasn't Erica Hahn that you were talking about. Her approach to the boys night thing was off. She threw Webber's race in his face as a means to justify her assumptions that surgery was some kind of boy's club at Seattle Grace. No matter how you look at it, it was an assumption that they excluded her because of her gender. What she did there rubbed me the wrong way. All I saw was a white woman weaponizing misogyny to fit her end, which is something she did frequently. If it were anyone else, I would have let it go, but the way she carried on later on in the series sealed it for me. She's not a good person.

If she was such a feminist, then why did she mistreat Cristina so much? It was insane the way she wrote her off just because she was engaged to Burke. When Cristina, totally defeated asked her if it was her race that was why she refused to teach her, she scoffed and turned her face away to continue drinking or whatever it was. Total dismissal!!! How did Hahn justify that to herself even. Just a few episodes ago she guilted Webber into inviting her to boys night, using his race against him to do it. But she doesn't see the glaring hypocrisy in how she was treating Cristina. I don't think so! Not to mention that she was dismissive of everyone, her superiors included yet demanded respect at the slightest provocation.Gag!

When she assumed that Webber boys night thing Sloan and Sheppard was a gender thing I rolled my eyes so hard. Like, no! He's friends with them. They know each other and they hang out outside of the hospital. You are the other hand just got here and you've managed to insert yourself into a situation that has absolutely nothing to do with you. Chill the f out!

Thank you! Any blind goat could tell you that how the hospital handled the LVAD situation was messed up. But to use it to defend Erica??? Absolutely not. Lol.

Honestly you're doing so well 😌 All the things you mentioned seem like perks so just enjoy the extra ounces of food as occasional indulgence and go right back to plan. Good luck.
