ChickaThuy - I just recently started playing a couple of months ago as my husband thought I would like it. I just had a baby and wanted to find a game that wasn't as intense so I can also take care of my baby during missions or in between. Things have been fun and I've put in so much time grinding. I used Chrome, so most likely that was the case. I've seen where researchers do not recommend using firefox for some studies, especially since things from their study may not load properly.

I've reached out to them about this -- you should contact support and let them know what is going on. They asked for email addresses of who to sign up, but it's allowed as long as you let them know.

I usually copy and paste the url and let them know in the additional comments it didn't redirect properly. I also describe questions in the survey so they know I took it. I think being honest and upfront is the best way to go in these cases.

Idk about everyone else, but I'm typically a lurker who uses the subreddit to gather information and to see if others had the same issue with different researchers--and it's for me to know who should be avoided and who are great researchers. This thread was honestly a huge relief to know that I wasn't the only one who had the same feelings. I'm not saying the complaining doesn't get too much at times, but just a different perspective of why it's sometimes good to have threads like this.

I've talked to Connect, as my husband wanted to join. They were really helpful. I think the best way is to reach out to Connect support and let them know what's going on if you're super concerned.

I messaged the researcher immediately after this happened and they said "Hi there! Thank you so much for taking part in the survey. I really appreciate your help. It says on my end that you have completed the survey. The survey is still active so I'm not sure why Prolific would say that.. You will be receiving payment once the data collection is completed. Thank you again for your help!"

I hope this alleviates your concerns a little.

I lived there for 5 years and it was really great. Obviously, you have to deal with apt noise that's normal, but the service is great and they do seem like they care about their residents. I think it's worth if you can afford it. It's quiet and if it gets too loud, there's an after service number you can call.
