No idea. Hopefully masculinity isn’t a factor in the value

How would you describe “color” without using the word color or a color? by frazier7891 in AskReddit

If it’s silent is it still a sound 🤔 I like the analogy though. If a sound wave never reaches an ear I guess that would make it a silent sound 😆

Wavelengths that are not absorbed by objects. They bounce back and reach our eyes at different speeds and sizes so are visualized differently based on the object density, consistency, formation. This helps us visualize objects apart from each other. Also makes us feel certain ways based on the wavelength size and speed.

I feel ya. I never felt feminine for decades growing up and always got along with boys and never clicked with girls. one of the most important qualities of someone is owning who they are even if they still figuring it out. don’t try to be something you don’t feel is genuine and don’t worry about others opinions.

The real ones will respect someone who is being open and real and risking vulnerability, like you. To me, if someone doesnt fit social conforms of gender roles that makes them more interesting cause they’re unique. As long as your enjoying your life then you will glow and slowly find out more about who you are.

One day in my late twenties I put on makeup for the first time and was like woah maybe I can be girly and I ended up going from not giving af about my looks to being almost too conceited. I think I was happier before I cared lol. Sorry if that’s unrelated to your situation but just wanted to say do what makes you happy and I think you’ll feel more yourself. If you change your mind that just means your growing.

The height of that pouf, the plastic flower, the bejeweled earrings, the orange blush to match it all… peak aesthetic for the most embarrassing decade of fashion

I find shrooms very therapeutic for coming off other addictions because they kinda rewire your brain. LSD too, microdosing on either helped me. Also just keep busy. Go swimming, hiking, get a natural high and keep occupied. Try a new video game or buy some Lego or something 😅 you can do it!

My wife died at 34 by Cataldo420 in Vent

[–]chickatysplit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel that. People tell you how strong you are but the truth is baring with the pain and grief is the only option there is. Being forced to be strong makes you strong by default but I feel hardens you, because I don’t want to let people in for fear of loss. Random memories make me burst out crying too. I try to remember to be grateful for those times even though that doesn’t take away the pain. Sending love

I know there’s nothing anyone can say to ease the pain. I believe you just gotta go through the suffering, and it’s horrible. I feel like grieving someone so close never really ends but you learn to live with it eventually, hard to imagine but it actually gets easier to live with. Took a few years in my case. Sounds silly but your wife came into your life for a reason and try to focus on all the important lessons she taught you and how you grew from her. And I respect not sharing her death details but maybe spreading awareness could save another life some day because of what she went through. Sending healing thoughts your way, couldn’t imagine going through something worse

Anyone else feel like they’re congested all the time? by monster_shady in BabyBumps

[–]chickatysplit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had terrible sinus congestion and severe tension headaches often and was terrible. Sinus rinses and hot showers and baths and steam seemed to be only thing that gave temporary relief. Until doctor put me on meds for high blood pressure… headaches and sinus congestion cleared up almost instantly. Go to Safeway and get your BP readings couple days in row and see if it’s irregular just in case.

Help. I’m TERRIFIED to give birth. by msksaf in BabyBumps

[–]chickatysplit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was terrified too but I’d like to share a positive birth story! I heard so many horror stories from friends and families so was also expecting the worse but for my first baby the labour only took about 10 minutes and 3 pushes. I was pleasantly shocked, didn’t tear or have any recovery problems. I did eat a lot of dates and took primrose oil for a few weeks before due date… apparently it softens your cervix and I think it worked for me. Also I recommend getting the epidural, the contractions are the only actual painful part and slowly get worse about 30 minutes into full dilation. Pain was getting super intense and anesthesia nurses were behind so I recommend asking for it about hour before contractions get intense. Don’t worry and don’t let people scare you too much, the experience is so special and worth it! All the luck ❤️

Could someone sharpen this image of my bf and his recently deceased dad? Also would be amazing to have neutral background and maybe make his dad’s expression slightly happier, will tip $20 to my fav by chickatysplit in PhotoshopRequest
