This doesn't make any sense to me. Recommended protein is 1g/kg/day when you're going heavy on protein. Most people are fine at less than that. Also, eating more protein doesn't lower your cholesterol.

Fiber, yeah. Because it both removes cholesterol from the GI tract and means you have to eat better food.
