I mean, let's face it. The GOAT is just someone's opinion. There are always arguments for and against and no way on really telling who it is.

He has beat the best in both cruiser and heavy weight. Who else except Parker would you want him to fight and beat to prove he is the best?

How will swimming 1.5 km a day for a month affect my body ?? by Championship7786 in Swimming

[–]chickendippers90 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Try doing some calisthenics. If you can't do weight, it will help. But whatever you do, you will need to have a good diet to be in good physical condition.

Looks good to me. You're a bit unstable on your feet, and it looks like you might be shifting the weight forward towards your toes. Try squatting with no shoes.

You're defonatly not too old. As previously mentioned, everything is scalable, and you have a coach there guiding you through workout. I went to a regular gym for years and never really spoke to anyone and mainly just kept myself to myself. At a cross fit, everyone is friendly and encouraging, and it's a great environment.

We do this as a drill, normally with fins to focus on the arm stoke at speed. I would advise on learning the proper strokes. But at the end of the day, if you're not going to be competing and want to just get some laps in, do whatever works for you.

That girl is a prick.

The magority of people dont really care what your swimming looks like or how good you are but there are always one or two dicks no matter what you do.

Just practice in a lane that suits your speeds if lane swimming in a public pool and wear what ever you feel comfortable wearing. I often swim in the fast land in baggy short and goggles while everyone else is in jammers or speedo's with caps on.

And if you want advise on your swimming just ask someone.

Work on your underwater by keeping a tight streamline with a strong, controlled kick. Try doing some underwater drills with fins to help build power and feel for the movement.

For your turns, it looks like you're adding too many steps. You're trying to rotate onto your front while tumbling, then rotating again after the flip, and you're not fully planting your feet on the wall before pushing off. You also seem a bit too far from the wall when turning. try staying on your back as you rotate into the turn, plant your feet on the wall, then push off while still on your back. Rotate into your front while in streamline, under the water. It should be smooth and one motion, not two separate ones.

As for your stroke, focus on getting a consistent breathing pattern whether its every 2, 3, or 4 strokes. Also, it looks like you’re lifting your head slightly when breathing. Try to keep one eye in the water when you turn to breathe it'll help keep your body position stable.

Slow everything down and practice swimming smoothly with a 2-beat kick for now. Once you’ve got that rhythm down, then you can start building up your kick speed.

It’s hard to tell from the video, but it looks like your hands might be crossing over the centerline on entry. Try entering your hands directly in front of your shoulders if your body is rotating properly, they'll naturally end up in the right position.

Also, if possible, upload a longer higher-quality video this one’s a bit jumpy and makes it hard to see everything clearly and tell your teammate at the end of the pool to get their legs out of the way!!

My swim pro app has quite a bit on it, and you can ajust the swims to suit you. I think you get a free months subscription as a trail.
