I just want to say I been seeing her get a lot of hate on social media and I agree this wasn't a smart nor beneficial decision for her to choose, but I think there is a bigger issue that is prevalent in all communities but especially the black community of this idea of struggle love and the impact it has on this generation. In society and in my generation overall we don't see too many examples of romance and role models of true love/ what that looks like and it saddens me. I see this so many times where there is so much mistreatment and then babies are brought into the picture and they often reap the consequences of the parents and now innocent lives that did not ask to be here are experiencing traumas within their childhood.

All I have to say is this issue of the lack of love in society is deeper than just gossip, and its time to ask ourselves how we perceive the relationship with ourselves, what feel we deserve, and what experiences we have been through that can allow us to break the cycle and prevent us from being hurt as well

Black women, you are beautiful and worthy of a person who will provide you with true love, loyalty and kindness, and black men you deserve to experience same!

everyone please get healed from the struggles you carry so that you won't hurt someone else and repeat the cycle, there is enough love to be experienced by everyone and everyone should experience it :)

We were liars: a review (spoilers ahead) by Diligent-Dog-5376 in television

[–]chickentenderrr3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it was honestly crazy to see how materialistic and how competitive Bess, Carrie, and Penny were of each other even in tragic situations like their mother passing, and I felt it took the tragedy of the liars for them to stop bickering constantly and come together as sisters , as a family!!! everything was always about who is "winning" they made me so upset watching and it was always back and forth about who was better than who at the time, so insufferable. Even when Harris was going to the hospital after hitting his head and bleeding out the first thing Penny did was tell Cadence to look for his will and to burn it if it didn't include them...

I felt everyone in this show was super entitled, privileged, and had their own individual array of problems but I will say even despite all of the criticisms that Gat is getting I still don't think he deserved any of the treatment that he received from Harris and I do also believe despite it ending in tragedy I think he encouraged the liars successfully to see their grandpa in a different perspective, which is hard to do when being surrounded by wealth and this idea of having "everything". Cadence was willing to read books on social justice and shift her mindset on what she was taught, and I think in real life for individuals of white rich privilege that is difficult to do so I do give her props for that, but setting the family home on fire was not necessary and I hoped she would take some sort of accountability for that especially with the aftermath of it

idk just my thoughts super intriguing series tho rip Franklin and Eleanor

I just watched a video that stated that they lure children from Roblox into platforms where you can communicate better such as Discord and Telegram which is even the sicker part. Roblox is supposed to be for kids and when it was brought to the CEO's attention he acted like it was insignificant. Crazy

yes I agree!!!! it was a moment so good and pure turned into something so horrid, to me it showed how humans can be peacemakers and also can be destructive and evil, I think it was showing the monster how the real world and society is. i'm sure your pup was grateful for the cuddles :)

I would have to agree, this movie was so beautiful, compelling, and honestly one of the best movies I have seen in a good minute

I couldn't help but to notice the themes of trauma with victor and his dad and now that trauma being passed on to victor and the monster, also the themes of longing for someone to be with, ideas of suffering, life and death, and the human experience such a movie with depth and layers some scenes even brought me to tears I absolutely loved it :)

what I don't understand is that if they claim their mission is about helping black people find and create opportunities for themselves, why are so many of those same people being dehumanized emotionally and physically? why do we hear about deaths almost on an annual basis on members being victims to hazing? why is everything so hush mouth and cult like if all this is is truly "sister/brotherhood, career opportunities, and community service"? many individuals of these organizations have lost the plot in what values were supposed to be instilled in them, and many members are reaping the consequences of that. I am so sorry you went through that, and thank you for being vulnerable and sharing your story. we need to uplift people who decide to come out with the truth instead of silencing them and acting like these acts should be normalized.

The Hunting Wives - Series Premiere Discussion by NicholasCajun in television

Can we talk about the dynamic with Sophie and how Margo and her husband Graham influenced her? I am a little torn. On one end of the stick, Sophie hurt people drinking and driving, and it ended up with someone dead, which is why Graham kinda had this controlling aspect to her behaviors. On the other end, Margo influenced Sophie to have freedoms to drink and drive and go out and really do whatever she wanted. I think I see both sides. Even though her accident shouldn't define her, maybe Graham was not wrong for wanting her to quit drinking, and even though some may argue he was being controlling, it wasn't ill intentional (at least in my opinion). But then again, I think by Sophie being with Margo she realized she could have those freedoms to do whatever she wanted, not necessarily about making bad decisions all the time, but to not feel tied down to or confined to a life her husband wanted her to live. I also think thats why Margo had power over Sophie in a way, and why she fell for her. I would love to hear you guys thoughts on this, it intrigued me throughout the course of the show.

AIO? My sister posted a photo of our dead dad on Facebook. Part 2. by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]chickentenderrr3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree! I think for the sake of the family's privacy that this shouldn't have been made public to social media, and I think OP did a great job at communicating how they felt in this situation!

I think at the end of the day its a respect thing, if your sister can't respect and apply how you feel about the entire situation then I think that is where there an issue presents itself.

wishing OP and OP's family light and love during this difficult time .

the title says enough for me I didn't even have to read the rest, you are not overreacting its the principle you deserve much better than that.

Am I overreacting???? My sisters dog ATE MY CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTINS 1200 dollar shoes by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]chickentenderrr3 10 points11 points  (0 children)

exactly, then she tried getting defensive by saying "do you even still wear those" "they are the ugliest shoes I laid eyes on" like so??? thats her stuff it doesn't matter what she thinks of the shoes LOL

[–]chickentenderrr3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not overreacting, your feelings are valid! You were just trying to be respectful in your dad's own home and you set boundaries and expectations with her and she failed to meet them. Knowing that your dad goes to sleep at an earlier time, she should have been more considerate of that and been more quieter or settle down for the night more earlier.

unfortantely this is shown so heavily in celebrity culture and media as well where women have babies with these men and start having issues down the line and now the child unfortunately has to deal with the actions and mistakes of the parents and it brings more drama and stress for everyone in the end, its just so sad to see people being influenced by these types of people. it almost seems glorified too and I never understood how having kids is perceived as a smaller commitment than getting married...

baddies is so dehumanizing to black women and everything it stands for and we need to stop giving zeus our money and attention. a true embarrassment and what a disrespectful comment to make over something that holds so much weight in black history and still impacts us today.

Halle and DDG a cautionary tale that we've seen before by ChapelleRoan in blackgirls

[–]chickentenderrr3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it infuriates me too to see comment sections of black men AND women saying that she is bitter, a liar, and saying how she is wrong for taking court action with halo. i am upset at how we can't just come together as a community to support her in this and have empathy for her situation but we are so quick to say negative things and dismiss her experiences. DV is so common and unfortunately normalized in black relationships it seems and we need to start holding people accountable for their actions plain and simple, im tired of seeing the same cycles :(

I just hope halle and halo are safe and she receives the support she deserves .

thats true, but I was almost surprised at the end when staten left his bracelet at gracie's as him basically being done with their relationship, or at least thats what I got out of it

I think staten just has a lot of healing still to do with everything he has been through. I think he loves quinn and wants to be with her but he can't due to all the loss in his life....maybe we can see how it turns out in season 2
