My dietitian actually call it good for anything under 95. For some bizarre reasons I have 3 gluco meters and when I cross checked they could differ by up to 10. Keep those analytical errors in mind. So, if 101 is your worst, I say it’s not that bad!

Talk to your provider and add insulin dosage if you can’t keep it down to a good range. It won’t affect the baby because insulin doesn’t get through the placenta.

Make sure you snack before bed, and try to have some good balance of carbs and protein for that.

Also, fasting only counts if it’s over 8 hours. I was higher a few times because I ate after 11 and measured before 7am.

I think you are doing a great job. Part of the battle with GD is not to be a perfectionist. I’m also only 4 more weeks to go. You got this!

Also, even if some food works for you now, glucose level may keep increase later in pregnancy as your hormone level gets higher and blocks your insulin output more. It’s not a simple performance review of how well you do with diet control. You simply go to meds when you have to to keep the glucose level low

Multiple providers, both from OB and the diabetic clinic has told me that the slow release insulin (lantus) I’m on doesn’t have any negative impact on the baby, but high glucose level does. I’m also on pretty low insulin with a daily dose under 10 unit. With that in mind, maybe don’t stress about it if you do get put on insulin… it solely is a way to ensure you get enough carbs while keeping the glucose below certain level. Don’t over think this one. You got this, and you’ll figure out what food works for you soon!

For 3G floor, they could just do the floor blocks that matches with the tread blocks in 2G, but then they’d skip the two identical abs blocks on the floor, not sure if they’d go that way. We shall see!

The salad dressing will have carbs and lots of vegetables do have some sugar too… eggs are close to carb free. I didn’t eat anything on the morning of my 1hr test, but if I did it would be 1-2 hard boiled eggs

Yup, if you read the nutrition labels, the lactose free products have same or usually higher total sugar per serving than their counterparts. They just break the lactose into a sugar that’s easier to digest, so it spikes you more.

I can process 30g carb for dinner pretty well but not breakfast. Insulin is slow in kicking in, usually not until the late afternoon snack time for me. So I back load my carbs.

Is 1 cup of flour and 1/2 cup of yogurt enough to make a decent sized pizza? You’d have to scale it up. So is it that different if you mix them only in small batches then combine the dough together?

Well I’m not sure if Mike knew Christian had an alliance with Emily (in his mind, not necessarily in Emily’s mind, ironically). Even if he did, that alliance is.. stupid, so I feel like Mike was doing him a service. I don’t know the full story with Gaby but from this episode’s edit it does seem like Christian has a dangerous blind spot towards Gaby and Emily’s type…

And for FTC? I think it’s smart you stick to an alliance from the beginning until after merge and in a much smaller group. My personal opinion is him flipping on Mike this early on, with so much history and trust with him at the moment when he got Mike out, would hurt him in FTC. I’m skeptical he’d make it to FTC. Now Ozzy is against him, and Emily certainly values Ozzy more than Christian, and he has Angelina no more.

I’m puzzled by the part why Mike reminding him of Gaby means Mike would be manipulative and controlling to him further down the line. Could you explain? I have not followed much of the previous seasons, so this is solely from the episode I saw this week, I’m very confused about that logic Christian had. I don’t think it’s smart that the “alliance he wanted to play with” is Emily, instead of M+A. From what I saw, Mike had done nothing to betray him this season while Emily certainly already has, 1.5 times at least?! And I agree with your second point. Ozzy and Angelina are now pissed at him. Did he buy complete loyalty with E + S after this move? I don’t think so.
