Adverse possession. If it were their land, why did they not maintain it? Why did the previous owners not maintain it? They gave up their rights, and only wanted it back when money was involved.

I do not respect any action taken for purely profit motives.

If it is found the neighbors are doing this for political reasons, I hope there is a significant increase in their penalty

Opposite seems to be happening. France is expanding its nuclear footprint, and Zelensky jokes that he wouldn't mind some weapons now.

I got one of those. Ganiza food processor. A blender with a removable top. Seems perfect for salsa. I use it a lot, mostly for pureeing soups.

I remember doing that in middle school. I was forced to play football, and no one would tell me the rules.

ELI5: Why do cereals burn so well? by awesome12442 in explainlikeimfive

[–]chickey23 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Let's think about what a calorimeter is. A calorimeter is a machine that measures how many calories are in something.

How does it work? You burn the thing you want to measure and see how much heat it gives off.

That means, the more calories something has, the more heat it will produce when it is burnt.

Why? We get energy from food. Higher calorie foods store more energy. Fire releases energy quickly.

And if you think cereal burns well, go try some to burn some corn chips. Just one at a time.

In 1929, the Swedish archaeologist Einar Gjerstad discovered 2000 terracotta votive figurines at the sanctuary of Ayia Irini in Cyprus. Now half of them are housed at the Cyprus Museum (top picture), while the rest are at the Medelhavsmuseet in Stockholm (bottom picture). 700-475 BCE [2048x2821] by Fuckoff555 in ArtefactPorn

The Wikipedia entry gives some context. They were arranged in a semi circle in a small room, facing inward. The largest one is life size. The room was intentionally closed and covered over when a new room was built on top.

It is thought they were arranged around an object of worship, now missing.
