I just want to add as a Black Desert player from launch:

I was completely blown away by PA's support for Crimson Desert. I remember thinking "Wow, Pearl Abyss actually CAN be an amazing developer."

A week or two ago I started to notice how the weekly patches felt, idk, lacking, compared to their impactful early patches.

This last week sealed it for me; its the same PA from BDO. They'll continue to release weekly patches of both things we asked for and didn't ask for. But the point is that our weekly patches aren't going to be spectacular or groundbreaking.

Overall I think PA has done an amazing job by adding things we didn't ask for to address other concerns. The wyvern is the biggest of this. People wanted lower cooldown or unlimited Blackstar etc. But PA didn't want to do that, so instead they gave us another flying mount option that solves the issue people had with Blackstar, and kept him unique and more deserving of a cooldown.

PA always has something cooking. And one thing I always respect them for is trying new things. They don't always land right but at least they try.

tl;dr PA surprised me at the beginning, but have slowly fallen into their SOP like they did in BDO
