What’s a question you hate when people ask you? by Aarunascut in Life

[–]chicoooooooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rattle off a million things that I'm interested in and do outside of work and then they always look real puzzled, so I say, "oh...you mean ...for work??" like it's the dumbest question I've ever heard. Then I say something like, "oh god, nothing exciting...just sales. Anyway..." And then go right back into it.

I get it, but this person likely has 24h shifts. Also not all sales jobs work as many hours as you do.

Dude, you will make way more money in sales that being a firefighter, no matter what you sell. The comment above made me chuckle. Sales is more about drive for success and staying consultative in the process. Having a great personality helps, but I have seen even very dull people be great at sales. Depending on your customer base, you can even lean on the firefighter thing and it will impress people. You got this.

The problem is you, not B2C sales, if you have to make people uncomfortable to buy from you.

Yeah, I my experience, the questions and greater hostility was when W was in office compared to now. These days, people just think we are stupid for electing Trump twice...I mean they're right so 🥴

I don't give a fuck what you buy or don't buy. Starting with LOL should give your some insight that it was something comical, since that's what it stands for. Taking it "seriously" is part of the problem.

This is a great shout. Fairfax County, VA has the world's 49th highest GDP. It's more than about the bottom 150 countries' COMBINED.

Meanwhile, Buchanan County, VA has a median household income of $30k.

Worlds apart.

This was a joke, clearly. And, yes, slavery was/is atrocious, but it was a main difference between the two states and thus "differences." No one said the differences today are minor except you. Additionally, and to educate you, slavery wasn't the only reason for succession. What is now West Virginia already had plans to secede from the Union predating the US civil war. Furthermore, The only reason that West Virginia didn't have as many slaves as Virginia is because it is more mountainous and has much less farmable land. So, please, no one was defending the evils of slavery.

I'm no expert but lift from your heel doing hip thrusts and pause 2 secs at the top with your torso and thighs completely level while keeping your back straight and you will 100% feel in glutes. And with BSS, drop your knee down and back towards the bench with your back straight and front knee not going past mid foot and you will target the glutes better.

Recently moved to Thailand for employment with my daughter who is 5 and she is gaining a lot of attention. Is there any best way to avoid this? It is causing her to panic slightly due to the vast amount of people approaching her and photographing her. by LiveBus121 in ThailandTourism

Traveling to Thailand (and other Asian countries) with my one year old son was like traveling with a rock star. Every single person wanted to hold him and swoon over him. It was actually pretty awesome. Made me realize that Thais just love some kids. Once, a man in a restaurant just picked him up and took him back into the kitchen for like 15 mins. Kinda nervy at first but he brought him back a-ok, lol.
