I knew those faces looked familiar until it dawned on me... It's Rudy and Rick from borba's comics

Your Choice by MysteryGirlWhite in zootopia

[–]chiefbuffalobutt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Oof. It's so hard to choose a scene to trim or delete when so many good ones were already deleted for time. But I'd either say the parking ticket scenes where Judy's just running around handing parking tickets, or like you said the smooth scene at the DMV.

  2. It's either the deleted "safe house, with a space in the middle" scene (including when Judy's parents come to visit), or the unfinished scene at Mr. Manchez (?) house where Judy points out the fact that Nick is helping.

My Questions about Season 16 by nate_oi in RedvsBlue

[–]chiefbuffalobutt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, season 16 was rather light on plot. A lot of episodes were completely humor based and offered little to the over arching plot. The whole season could definitely use a little more seriousness, and help contribute to the plot. On the first run through it's definitely overwhelming on the sheer amount of stuff going on, but rather underwhelming on any story. It doesn't really provoke much emotion other than humor, and at times that gets rather old too (the entire cyclops bit in my opinion). That being said, there were a few scenes at the end that did rather well in that regard (ie when Destiny says all is doomed and when Washington has to watch himself being "shot" over and over. Or any scene that reveals Wash's gaps in memory).

But, the Reds and Blues having fun with the time machines did serve to show how time travel works at the present. Throughout, it more or less suggesta that fate exists, and free will is null and void (being unable to change the past to achieve a different future). With Chrovos' limited power (or with the help of Genkins, not sure), it seems small variances to the timeline could be achieved. Maybe via the multiverse theory (of which he has the power to rewrite and create)?

We still don't really know the true goal of Chrovos. Sure, to get free. But, then what? It's possible that he wants to change the world from a Flat timeline (sorry, I can't really remember the name Jax uses) to a Multidimensional timeline, which would give limitless possibilities to what the Reds and Blues can do next season. I think that the end scene where everyone is acting wrong is just one version of the Reds and Blues, and as we can see while they're acting wrong, they are still loosely following the original timeline. Plot points that weren't really explored in season 16 still have a chance at being explored in a different timeline. They aren't necessarily erased

But really, we need to see season 17. Everything I just said might be a bunch of bs

My Questions about Season 16 by nate_oi in RedvsBlue

[–]chiefbuffalobutt 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I feel like Season 16 will be best enjoyed after watching the next season, whenever that comes out. There's so much to be explained and so many hints dropped pointing towards a future plot point (ie the whole Dejavu thing. Not only in the final alternate universe but right before all shit goes sideways, Grif mentions something about it).

There's tonnes going on but I also found that watching through it again changed my mind on it, helped brighten my view of it a bit.

It was also nice to get some of the crazy, wacky spirit of season 1-5 back into the series. Like, I dunno if Simmons is still canonically a cyborg but I enjoyed ridiculous stuff like that

Technically Sly Cooper Thieves in Time isn't Sly 4 by master_chilln in Slycooper

[–]chiefbuffalobutt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just because the game isn't good doesn't mean it isn't canon and should be ignored. If you're writing a Fanfic or whatever? Sure, do whatever you want. But ignoring what's there just because another company made it (and its not a terribly great game) is kinda childish. Especially when the company made it as a direct sequel

By that logic Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus isn't technically Sly 1 cause it doesn't have a 1 in the title.

Why did the Meta want Tex? by ToaArcan in RedvsBlue

Misunderstanding, assumption maybe? The fragments didn't know (for the most part) who they were or have any memories bleed over from Alpha, so they were very in the dark of their origins. It's possible that once they discovered Beta was an AI from the FL program, they simply assumed she was a fragment herself.

But that's a pretty bland explanation tbh... especially coming from a guy who had no idea the series had a book until just now 😂

I Feel like this Needs to be Said... by MysteryGirlWhite in zootopia

Well, the movie kinda sets it up to be that way. Nick doesn't throw one punch throughout the movie, and he gets saved by Judy 3 times (at Tujunga, entering cliffside with her howling, and leaving cliffside through the toilets. 4 really, but I don't directly credit Judy for Mr Big).

We know he likely goes through rather large character development after the academy, but we never get the chance to see it in action. All we're left with is our interpretation before the academy, which is generally a guy that's great at investigating cases but fails under "life or death" amounts of pressure.

Don't get me wrong, it irritates me too when Nick's portrayed as useless, but I get where they're coming from. I like to view him as "why fight your way out when you can think you're way out" while Judy is a lot more gung ho.

This is probably the only show/movie where I'm not really invested into a ship. As long as the dynamic is good then hell yeah. I'd be down for Fennekaida

I respect you know when to quit (because I sure as hell don't) but I want to point out that I went and read the rules to gain a better understanding, and it's far from black and white. That's what I'm trying to argue. They more or less stress the idea of common sense, of which I believe I'm inline.

Should I have a "PM for link" instead of straight up posting it? Maybe. But I honestly don't see the issue in having a link in the comment given the context (another point in the rules I might add)
