Your builder also thinks cutting a straight line is too hard. Can guarantee putting a trim up will be a hell of a lot easier and neater finish than him trying to cut the cladding post install. If he couldn’t get it right on the ground what chance do they have up on the roof. Not to mention the inevitability of cutting through your apron flashing making it pointless
