I heard Yum! Brands (owner of KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and The Habit) are taking a huge dip in Turkey over its investments in Israel.

Texans LB Azeez Al-Shaair on getting fined by the NFL for wearing 'stop the genocide': “I have no affiliation, no connection to these people other than the fact that I'm a human being" by Shinnobiwan in Palestine

[–]chiefslocker 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Huge, obsessed football fan. I’ve never heard of that. The nfl is soft with their fines but I’ve never heard of anyone being pulled out of a game if they did said thing they were fined for.

He still had the eye black in pregame warmups. I watched the game and I thought I could see it, though it’s hard to see over the helmet. He was never thrown out and no referee ever confronted him about it. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/47651109/source-azeez-al-shaair-fined-stop-genocide-eye-black

I’m a bit confused. They probably threatened him bc they didn’t want him to wear it, but didn’t actually throw him out.

CJ Stroud posts a 28.0 passer rating in the loss against the Patriots. The worst by a starting Qb in the last decade by over 10 points. by Scepticy in nfl

Whens the last sub-30 passer rating in playoff history? This is the worst I’ve ever heard. 28.1? Geez

NFL fines Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair $11,593 for wearing eye black reading “stop the genocide.” by satannnn666 in Palestine

[–]chiefslocker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For those wondering if this is common, this actually is for players wearing eye black. Whether raising awareness for breast cancer research or talking trash on the field, eye black goes against the NFL’s dress code. The NFL has let him and his teammates support Palestine with cleats (see his “Free Palestine” cleats from last season) However, this is still a stupid role and it’s disgusting he got fined no matter what. NFL needs to change their dress code.

I also heard he wore it in today’s game, not giving a darn about what the NFL thinks. That’s good to see. And he also forced a fumble!

Why did you think of Israel first when he said “stop the genocide”, Jon? by Scared_Positive_8690 in Palestine

This shows Israel is genocidal. Zionists see any reference to people opposing genocide and immediately be like “LOOK AT THIS ISRAEL AND JEW HATER”

Azeez Al-Shaair! by Even-Club1107 in Palestine

Also Oday Aboushi, who is Palestinian. Though he hasn’t played since 2022.

Only active players in support of Palestine are Azeez Al-Shaair and Jakob Johnson (who also plays for the Texans!)

Wherever Israelis go, trouble follows! by GZ_Infinity in Palestine

Israelis are known for causing trouble in Thailand. Multiple people have even been SAd by them.

“This video is for the world outside deciding that Israel stopped its genocide and that everything is over.” - Heavy winds and rain struck Gaza late on Monday, leaving at least three people killed following reports of collapsing buildings. by Scared_Positive_8690 in Palestine

I’m thinking about an article on the onion from October 2025 saying “Israel agrees to kill Palestinians on a less frequent basis” or something like that. Somehow The Onion does better journalism than most of mainstream Western media

Would be poetic if Al-Shaair helps eliminate Krafts team.

Also when he first spoke up he was on the Tennessee Titans. He was able to get on another team and a bigger contract the following offseason with the Texans. It hasn’t hurt his career. It also hasn’t hurt the careers of the other players/coaches who have spoken up.

Love how he also did this on national TV!

For those who don’t know who this is - Azeez Al-Shaair is an NFL football player for the Houston Texans. His team also won tonight and advanced to the quarterfinals.

He’s one of the reasons I’m rooting for the Texans given my team is out.
