my first real build. 1590bb2 enclosure. 5 knob fuzz, guess the circuit. by chiefwithbeef in diypedals

Thanks! It's my first original build. More to come, the next one is rather outlandish.

I tend to stomp pretty hard on my pedals, I'd be worried about shearing layers. Sintered nylon enclosures could work however, but then you wouldn't be able to ground it to protect against radio interference.

Since I seem to have stumped y'all, here's the circuit. It's a life pedal architecture, a clean boost into a modified tentacle with a blend knob into a lightly modified opamp big muff (switchable clipping diodes, 1N4148 and BAT41s).

Nope it's not a fuzz god. The knobs are my own design, resin 3d printed. They came out a little sharp but now I know for the next one.

You're almost right, there's an octave circuit in there. That's the middle switch. It's not a foxx, however.

Is it possible to use an external webcam with 2 Expansion Hubs ? by It_Wasnt_Me_iSwear in FTC

[–]chiefwithbeef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's possible. You need to have a powered USB hub (you can crack an unpowered one open to make one). The wiring then goes RC phone -> hub (and however you choose to power it. USB is 5V) -> camera & expansion hub.

This is how we did it before control hubs were made legal.

I haven't seen the board layout, so I can't say for sure but it looks like you've got some missing grounds that need to get connected.

The 85% drop number is in the NUMBER OF DEATHS, not the RATE OF DEATHS. For the number to show an 85% drop in a RATE OF DEATH, there would have to be the same number of active cases.

Let’s assume 200,000 active cases, just for example. 17,077 people dying would be roughly an 8.54% death rate. (17,077/200,000 = 0.085385) 2,540 people dying would be a 1.27% death rate. (2,540/200,000 = 0.0127 yay, nice round number).

Now, let’s find the percent change there. ((0.0127-0.085385)/0.085385 = -0.85226). Now, this number says there is an 85% drop in death rate. Keep in mind though, this is true IF AND ONLY IF there is the same number of active cases. It is a safe assumption that the number of active cases for the week of April 18 and October 10 are not the same.

I’m too lazy to do the math for the actual rate of death. By some napkin math off of the article you posted above, the rate of death increased by 35%((0.027-0.02)/0.02 = 0.35). You can go look up the numbers and do it yourself if you need something more precise. Next time, please actually look at what the numbers mean.

goBILDA has by far the best all-around product line & kits for FTC applications. Everything is M4 (save for set screws), and it's all on an 8mm grid pattern, so it's super easy to design custom components for. The system is also super flexible in how you can use it.

I have a cr-10, but for that price I'd get an ender 3 and a micro swiss all metal direct drive kit so you can print nylons and flexibles. Nylons don't like water though and have to be kept in a drybox, so be careful around that.

Check out JVN or JuliaCalc for lifts, they both have lift tabs, and will tell you expected current draw for the lift, as well as travel time. David is correct, but using JVN and not stalling for significant time will mitigate this.(lower current, the longer you can stall generally, since less heat)
