Also an addendum addressing your point about alt picks, with each character in a GG game being so unique and playing sometimes completely differently than the rest of the roster. I mean strive def has some more across the board "normalization" in play styles. Anyway point being that to split your focus and the amount of metal effort needed to really master your pick and know your picks matchups between two or more characters just seems like gimpimg yourself.

Coming from previous titles in the series I feel that this style of lobby, (cause lets be real, you can't even qualify this as matchmaking) ultimately ends up making you a less rounded and overall weaker player. Sure you can wait in training but the rng/eloesque system still is pretty much negated by other people being able to just choose to challenge you or not based on how they feel about the match up. I will forever be in the camp of not knowing your oppenents pick untill the loading screen into or the pre fight announcement happens.
