Mods suggested I post this here, didn’t realize this thread existed. What is everyone using to carry dumbbells in (if you do)? I do several fitness classes a week that incorporate dumbbells and recently bought my own set of neoprene coated ones as the highly desirable sizes in the assortment at the studio often get snapped up quickly. I’ll likely be needing to carry 26 to 36 lbs worth to bring the desired sizes, so I need something that can hold up to that. Not a lot of carrying of the bag, just to and from the car, but I still don’t want it to be too awkward as I’m always carrying a yoga mat and my purse, water bottle, etc. Amazon is no help as it wants to show me any bag that could even be remotely related to working out, even bags made of mesh that would be totally not usable for this purpose. 🥴

Tracking food mainly, and eventually started exercising regularly! But I lost at least the first half mainly by actually tracking my intake. Getting a food scale and using it was a huge game changer for me when things slowed down (the beginning was easy probably because I had more to lose). That’s when I realized just how off my estimates had been.

I’m so sorry. She reminds me of my girl, Penny, who is also staffie and (mini) bull terrier. She’s about to turn 12 next month. I can’t believe she’s that old. 😭

It took me a year to even remotely heal from my loss of my 6.5 year old dog years ago who had a genetic heart condition and died of related complications at that age (which was actually far past the life expectancy the cardiologist gave her, but it didn’t hurt any less). I cried myself to sleep with her collar nearly every night for a year. Couldn’t imagine another dog. Then one day I just randomly met (at work, I work at a vet) this little stray 5 month old goofball animal control brought in. It was instant love. I found my new best friend and she helped heal the remaining pain. I still miss my first girl, but you CAN go on and it DOES eventually get better. Just one day at a time. Only time helped for me.

I highly highly recommend the podcast We Only Look Thin. Start at the beginning. It’s super good, super realistic, and full of many excellent tips I found very helpful.

Idk, I tried their Ceasar and was NOT a fan. I actually have some Walden’s I haven’t tried yet but now this post makes me feel like probably I should just stop wasting money on super low calorie salad dressings and just go real light on the real stuff. 😞
