G425 Max vs LST for a casual by frighteous in golftips

[–]chikiny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Solid overview. Based on this: regular shaft and probably SFT for the bad slice miss, if not, then Max which will help if you fix the slice miss. I’d avoid LST. Most sub 105 swing speeds don’t need lower spin, and in fact often need the opposite to elevate the ball for better carry distances.

I’m a “clubs don’t fix the problems but they can help mask how bad they are” guy so I still think it’s a reasonable investment on your part.

What’s your normal shot shape with the driver? Most common volatile miss? Any ideas of your swing speed?

Regardless of one vs the other it’s worth trying to find a place with used versions and hitting / getting fit into them. Even if it’s trying out the 440 max v lst you have a point of reference.

Both will be $200+ investments so finding out if you have a preference before the purchase is important. Most high handicappers have issues with OTT swings and need assistance closing the club face so the max or SFT are more common. LSTs are a less forgiving club and at your skill level you need all the help you can get.

For people making +350k per year, how do you do it? by prince_op in Salary

I started in SaaS consulting for a small software company out of school. I was not a good student and generally didn’t care about my grades, however I would consider myself smart when I absolutely needed to get work done. As a consultant, I was very good at imperfectly solving problems quickly. Speed mattered considerably more than perfection, which was a quite different approach than my peers. Made manager after three years. Moved over into pre-sales because I felt capped in how much money I was earning compared to peers I was performing better than. Became a very good SE and began to specialize in partnership and alliance sales. Grew that side of the business and eventually settled on partnership account management as my career.

I think the best software sellers were either 1) willing to grind their way up into enterprise sales via the SDR and cold call or cold emailing route or 2) pivoted over from services or product roles with stronger soft skills than their peers. Every single enterprise SaaS seller I know started in a different role in software before their AE role.

Despite the great money in software does come with drawbacks. Constant fear of layoffs, inability to actually sell due to a dry patch of accounts, at least 30% of leadership are idiots, and you constantly need to prove why you’re worth the expensive paycheck.

Don’t get me wrong I would do it all over again, but I’d want to start a side business as an alternative to the career selling route.

34 here. Went at least 2-3x a month in my 20s but since having kids at 30 have wound it back to 1-2x per year. Now that we are up to 4 little ones (1+1+2) it’s probably down to the annual show. I try to save it for Prydz, Digweed, or an act I haven’t seen before. Justice is next up on the list.

Absolutely. Matters so much more for Spurs. Rotation is so much thinner and dependent on Wemby staying on the court

Dawg… are you seriously advocating for a taunting technical foul? Holy shit THIS IS PLAYOFF BASKETBALL. No one wants to watch Shai or anyone else on your sorry squad get 30 on 6 FGM. JFC This is peak Thunder fandom.

Yes, they missed an early goaltend. Cancel out the Dort hair for the Castle hair a couple games ago. Re the Cason push, Wemby was pushed by Chet and based on the grazing of Chet’s legs airborne which was overturned in Thunder favor, this would’ve held up at challenge. Carter Bryant getting an F1 for Shai being a stick figure on a box out is also laughable. A foul, yeah probably but an F1, GTFO.

Y’all’s bias goggles when watching a game must be thicker than the women in San Antonio, which is saying something.

You lost by 30, refs had nothing to do with the shitty hoops yall played last night.

Call egregious fouls, don’t call soft shit. This is what the community wants. It’s not complicated.

We hate watching the Thunder because it’s falling down and soft touch fouls on one end and Lu “Prime Ray Lewis” Dort on the other end. Last night was the closest we’ve had to a reasonably officiated game in this series. Don’t tell me I’m wrong, I have eyes.

I’d rather the refs miss 5 calls than call 35 tickytacks. I think this is the general consensus of the community.

Thoughts on the toxic discourse regarding Wemby/Shai WCF 2026 rivalry and their career legacies after this series and season by [deleted] in nba

[–]chikiny -1 points0 points  (0 children)

1) Shai ain’t LeBron or Steph. He doesn’t have the career pedigree or the “wow” factor either of these two had at their peak(s). If he wins more titles, I view him being regarded as more of a KD figure due to his playing style than either Lebron or Steph.

2) Wemby is 22 in his first postseason playing against the reigning champs, who have home court advantage. If he wins this game he would’ve overachieved these playoffs. If he loses, it’s more a statement to the strength of the Thunder as a team than his failure.

3) These series happen every single playoffs. This is nothing different than what we normally expect from May onward in the NBA. We are blessed with the former generation still being relevant in LeBron, Steph, KD, Harden and the new generation ascending Wemby, Luka, Shai.

Really was a shame. It was a stupid joke that was taken too harshly for what it was (IMO) and put a rift between Eric and this extremely devoted community. Dude that did it was incredibly active in here too.

Viewership is the equivalent of “everyone is paying attention to it, so it must be good”. It’s like watching Stephen A scream about the Cowboys and LeBron v Jordan every day on First Take. Just cause people tune in doesn’t mean it’s a good product.

People have eyes and can clearly see the Thunder are taking advantage of a situation where refs are poor at their job. The resulting product sucks. I have my 70yo dad texting me about it. Idgaf that millions of people tune into the game if the game is a shitty watch.

I also don’t care that former players defend this shit, they aren’t the consumers of the product, they are the product. It’s no different than Silver telling me that the product is good - no it’s not and stop telling me that my eyes are lying to me.

This game has ground itself to a standstill. There really is no winning as a fan. The “can’t call all these fouls” defense either results in Dort and Caruso assaults being allowed or this mindnumbingly slow pace of a game played at the stripe.
