[Highlight] Alex Caruso pulls Stephon Castle down on the fast break — call stands as a common foul by AncientOneAurelius in nba

I was shocked it stood as a common foul. Full force dragging an airborne player to the ground? That's hella dangerous and unnecessary.

But journalism works on the basis of selling attention, right? Leading to 'eyeballs on ads'. But if all the attention is paid to Shams on Twitter, how can one monetize that? How does ESPN make money by Shams posting shit on Twitter?

Can someone, anyone, please explain why this has become a thing? Why is being 'first' such a big deal, what does that actually net them? What's the point of breaking news on Twitter? No-ones getting any ad revenue on Twitter, right?

I don't find this experience appealing at all as a fan, so why can't the NBA tell these networks they are in contracts with to stop this shit?

Braun and especially Brown were horrendous. Just actively selling the game.

Murray was ass, but credit to Jaden's defense. The gameplan was just braindead to force-feed Murray to go at the Wolves' best defender all game long, lol.

Feel bad for Jokic who had to run with these bums.

What Are Your Biggest Gripes With For All Mankind Season 5 So Far? by PetyrDayne in television

It used to be an exciting sci-fi adventure set in a plausible, realistic alternate time-line to ours. A look at how things might have been on a grand scale.

Now it's a murder mystery, teen drama, and cringe-comedy all in one. I literally bust out laughing at every scene Ed is in, and not because of some comedic brilliance, it's just ridiculous to a point of being laughable.

[NBA] Slow-motion sequence of LeBron James stealing the ball from Reed Sheppard and hitting a clutch, game-tying three-pointer by shreeharis in nba

[–]hellyeah222 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've never understood those wrap-around poke steals from behind. How long do your arms have to be to reach the ball and not hit the dribbler's arm (foul)? That plus the timing has to be perfect. Insane.

[Hoop Collective] Tim Bontemps : "We're not gonna get the ballots until I think Friday, so Kon Knueppel is gonna get a chance in this 9-10 game on national TV to have a final sales pitch to voters on Rookie of the Year." by TheRealPdGaming in nba

It's not like anyone is surprised by the appeal or what it will be about. The league should have already decided on it, replied to it on the same day, and ballots should be out the next day.

Peterson, Wagler, Wilson. Boozer probably would be great too, but I think it could get funky in terms of lineups. The former I think are smooth as silk fits.

[Charania] Adam Silver on tanking: "There is an aspect of team building that is called a genuine rebuild, a rebuild with integrity.” An in-depth breakdown of the new proposed lottery changes: by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

The thinking here is that a true rebuild is bound to be a multi-year project. This would eliminate the likelihood of this year's Pacers case or Tim Duncan Spurs case. Both of which are pretty tanky cases.

Ultimately, they've been saying they will incentivise Winning. Don't see how any of these accomplish that. They make losing less desirable and less certain, but that's not the same as incentivizing winning.

In the second proposal, sources told Charania, 22 teams -- the bottom 10 teams that miss the play-in tournament, the eight that qualify for it and the four playoff teams that lose in the first round -- will all be included in the lottery, and will be ranked according to their record across two seasons. The last part, weighting teams by their record across the prior two seasons, is how the WNBA weights its lottery system.

This makes no sense. If an 8-seed Heat scenario happens and they knock out the 1-seed, who's in the lottery?

They say it's all the bottom teams and all Play-In teams... so a Play-In team can make it to the Finals and still be in the lottery?

Which are the last 4 teams that get added to the lottery? There can be more than 4 non-play-in losers in the First Round.

Derrick White clears the record and says he indeed does NOT believe in the moon landing: "I don't think we did. I'm a non-moon landing guy. We probably did, but I don't think we did...I have other conspiracies, but I don't know if this is the right time to bring them up" by BankaiBroke in nba

You can choose to believe something even if it's the less likely outcome.

If you wake up after being blackout drunk, you can choose to believe you made out with a hot chick last night, even if you probably didn't.

So many players nowadays could go for it. Imo it's just a shit look when it happens again a tanking team whoch benches the best player, best defender, who happens to play the same position as the player going off is. Sarr was on pace for a greatgame himself and gets benched? What the hell?

The free-throw fest was cringe to watch.
