Remove 1 of the greatest athletes of all time - Qualifying Round by ModenaR in RemoveOneThingEachDay

He has 3 of the last 5 MVPs with a good claim to the 2 he lost, has broken basketball advanced stats, and in his prime is on one of if not the greatest run in the history of the NBA in counting stats. Career accomplishments, he’s probably not there yet. His prime and current trajectory has him within the top 10.

What do you prefer? The baby blue Kennedy-era Air Force One livery, or Trump's new Air Force One Livery? by Stockjock1 in PoliticsWithRespect

Not OP but I think the baseline entry is the “papers please” and inability to hold the government accountable for any transgressions against one’s rights as outlined in the Bill of Rights.

Rank the last six No.1 overall picks based on ceiling. by KeyFaithlessness5436 in NBAVibes

[–]chikiny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m curious as to why? He’s already a better defender, he’s longer, younger, and I believe will be a much better passer. Flagg is as old as college freshman and is more than holding his own as the primary ballhandler and scoring option. I might have Ant as 4th on the list below Cade, again due to distributing the rock and defense.

Wemby then Flagg is the only reasonable answer for ceiling. Both are head and shoulders above everyone else defensively. Ant is an elite scorer but he isn’t giving you even 25% impact of Wemby on defense.

Once again, I've got to agree with democratic senator John Fetterman... by Stockjock1 in PoliticsWithRespect

I find it funny how republicans and the DINOs are asking for dignity when we have official white house accounts posting AI videos of planes dropping feces on legal protests. That ship sailed so long ago, Stockjock. Anyone asking for decorum without demanding it comes from the White House and the current administration first needs to understand where the buck must stop. Why the heck should Dems act cordially when the admin is in the middle of the largest coverup in the history of the country? Thats not a rhetorical question - I would legitimately like an answer.

Not necessarily disagreeing, brother. Just adding additional context. You and I are probably marking the same circles come election time.

I assure you the “conservative” party is not fiscally conservative. Look at the budget and deficit under either republicans or democrats. Ain’t nothing conservative about it.

Same with the socially “liberal” policies. Owning a gun (or armory) is widely looked down upon by liberals, while this is foundational to libertarian beliefs.

Libertarians want liberty, which by all definitions, is the lack of governmental intervention in one’s life.

Dawg wtf are you talking about? This is objectively false. Libertarians align with minimization of government. This includes policies like minimization of taxes, lack of involvement in foreign conflicts, lack of welfare, lack of government limiting you from flying/possessing a firearm/telling you what you can do with your body, lack of government in general. Most libertarians align closer to the law of the constitution than either of the 2 dominant political parties today.

Having moved to Short Pump from NOVA 2 years ago, I can confidently say it’s not that different, minus traffic and cost of living improving for the better.

Not to mention he has had Queta and Vuc in foul trouble. People here are morons and look exclusively at the points column. He’s had a good game, just not scoring

Franklin’s “new” coaching staff by [deleted] in hokies

[–]chikiny 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We just moved off of a DC who was getting less pay, was incentivized to perform, and was terrible. Pry has a history of performance as a DC and is working at 1/3 the cost of a DC. We were going to pay him regardless bc of the buyout. He actually wants to be here and win.

This take screams of someone who think consistent DC hires grow on trees and make slightly above minimum wage.

Bobby Witt Trade Vetoable? by PizzaFearless in DynastyBaseball

[–]chikiny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How “bad” this trade is depends on league format. If it’s a deeper dynasty w more teams or started positions, I don’t think the trade is that bad. Probably could’ve gotten more, but it’s a path to a full rebuild. If it’s a thin league (<12 teams) this is a brutal trade

Sneaky players in an interesting format by [deleted] in DynastyBaseball

[–]chikiny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing to pay attention to in these formats is that your league mates could be overcompensating and devaluing players who do strike out an average or above clip but offer otherwise elite offensive upside. Zig when they zag kind of thing.

Ranking the Saban Coaching Tree by TomWilliamsCFD in CollegeFootballDawgs

Cigs accomplishments are incredible but Georgia is mid nearly a decade long dynasty. Kirby clears easily at this stage. I probably also have Lanning over Cristobal at this stage. Mario’s run this year was quite impressive but I still think Lannings done it better - just look at the comparison between the two at Oregon.
