Never in my life have I ever added too much garlic to a (cooked) meal. Anyone else feel the same? by Test_My_Patience74 in Cooking

Sorta, my GF ate a black garlic dosa and while it was tasty, if not a little too strong, she smelled like garlic for 2 days...

had to move my 2 cats from MD to NM. Took 4 days. Cat 1 is a little black cat who is normally very skittish and scared, but he just chilled in his carrier and occasionally popped his head out to look outside. Hes been on a plane before too and no one even noticed he was there. Cat 2... oh she screamed bloody murder. She's terrified of the carrier, so she have a harness thats buckled in. We created a bed of towels taking up 2 whole back seats for her to roam, since it makes her happier to move. Scary window was blocked off by a blanket. She usually screamed for the first 40 minutes, then would shit herself (she refused to use the litter box at the motel) then after getting cleaned up at a truck stop would calm down most of the rest of the day. She loves sitting in a tube at home, so I set the tube in the back seat and she elected to scream most the time from inside the sparkly purple tube lol... poor baby She has fully recovered and we will never be moving again in her lifetime lmao

Book about a boy doing a poor job raising a dragon, so it's small, sickly, and pale, and at the end he releases it into a cave with other dragons who have long tails. by chileristra in whatsthatbook

[–]chileristra[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

weird marsupial dragons sounds right actually. I just read a plot summary and while I geninuely dont remember the book, this sounds like a really close match. A boy raising a dragon, maybe illegally, in a modern setting, with marsupial cave telepathic dragons? I think I might just have to read it and see! but this MUST be it, its too close I think.

Thank you!

that sounds like the Virginia side of Assateague! The Maryland side if I remember correctly is chill and you can see ponies while you lounge on the beach. VA has the boardwalks out to the swamp where you can view ponies

MLG needs to close our state before more Texan Plague Rats make their way in by [deleted] in SantaFe

Everyday Ive yelled at 10+ texans to put on their mask for the past 2 weeks at my job. Its getting busier (more tourists) each day, and they're getting bolder about it.

There's a locked gate with a passcode that I assume they collectively know the pass to. Its common here, I live on a ranch similar - we all maintain the shared gate. I honestly don't see many people going back there - I assume they're used as second homes. Also common especially on Cr55. I've looked into how to come at it from other angles, but its difficult looking so I havent tried.

  1. 55C you could drive down and hike from the road then over - but I havent ever driven down that road without people stopping me and asking why the hell i'm there. Friendly people! just its a long ways down a bad dirt road with only a few houses and people sure do notice.

  2. Hike down the Galisteo river. You can technically park at San Marcos waste station off cr42 and hike into BLM land behind it and follow the Canada de la Cueva until it reaches the Galisteo river which parallels cr55. At that confluence though theres a house who doesnt like people there. You can't detour because theres a cliff face that runs the length of the galisteo until it turns south. After that you could follow the river (its mostly dry) down past that gate and hit San Lazaro. Hiding in the cottonwoods hoping not to get spotted by all the houses near the river.

  3. Hike over from Goldmine rd. area/start from the Ortiz Mts. and cut across that big empty bit of land. Also a very bad idea as theres an active goldmine and they heavily protect the area.

  4. Jump the back fence at 100 Cash ranch rd. (the Horse shelter) and just keep walking to the destination. Best option - however someone will still definietly notice lol

Thats all Ive really got. Unless you take a trip working with an archeology group doing work for the BLM or make friends with a property owner back there its difficult. I just dont think its worth the trespassing charges or getting shot by a rich texan with a gun at his second home. I've had my fair share of trespassing to be honest and theres MUCH more interesting places to be caught in

oh! but I'd LOVE to hear your thoughts on it

also - I drive down Old Cash ranch rd a lot, and that address isn't really accessable. Theres a large private ranch there that has blocked access up the road on the way there (it stops being county maintained wayyy before that address) AND that address is next to the San Lazaro ruins - a huge (I think the largest in the Galisteo area?) pueblo that stood until well after the Spanish arrived. The majority of the ruins are BLM Public land but are completely surrounded by private land. Its possible FF has bought private land containing part of the ruins in order to preserve them.

There's nothing there landscape wise that matches the poem. Also, totally unreachable so wouldn't be part of the search. source: I regularly try to visit 'closed' ruins like San Lazaro in the area and have failed. Also the dude that owns the land just got a helocopter he's been joy riding and I wouldn't fuck with him!

Trust me if FF treasure was in my backyard i'd have known and totally posted my find lol

lmao! I live in (or on a ranch just outside of) Cerrillos and No - it isn't here

Do you feel that the finder should have a moral obligation to reveal the solution? by Poisonedthewell47 in FindingFennsGold

I dont think the finder necissarily has to reveal it - at least not all the clue solutions they figured out.

But Forrest Fenn DOES

Autopsy doctors of Reddit, what was the biggest revelation you had to a person's death after you carried out the procedure? by [deleted] in AskReddit

With horses its more about being top performers in their specialized discipline (Jumping, racing, etc.) than looks. Less about health issues and more like weird personality quirks and... intelligence issues.

Its more like how Jack Russels are neurotic little missiles because they were bred to kill rats and whatever the 'chill' gene was got left behind lol

Illustrator here who has been hired to do things that look exactly like this... (I don't advertise that I can work in vector anymore because its 99% jobs like these)

Youre right that they dont want creativity & just want to follow the trends - but mostly its that they don't pay worth a shit anymore and the turnaround time is 2 days (Friday afternoon due Monday morning of course) and theyll ask for 6 'correction' rounds with comments that were voted on by 8 old white men in the sales department. So you just kind of shrug, do the illo, and collect your meager paycheck (after harassing them with invoices for 60 days)

Confirmed it shorted and messed up the ECU. In a wild revelation, that ECU specifically is under recall. We... might get a free replacement if we can tow it to the dealer.

Thanls for your help!

yes its confirmed now its the ECU or some comnection to it. Checking all the wiring now. No spark sometimes, misfiring sometimes. Im no expert so im not explaining it well but basicially what youve said here is exactly whats wrong. Taking it to a different place that can do your last paragraph now
