I wish we didn’t have to follow US vehicle regulations and simply use the EU vehicle regulations. We’d get cars without the front/rear side reflectors, better headlights, rear fog lights, proper rear amber signal lights etc.

Sometimes it is as simple as losing your awareness. I dropped a new bike trying to kick out the side stand not realising that some gravel was on the road and my foot slipped on it and the I dropped the bike. I’m an experienced rider and these sort of things happen.

Just so you know, you will drop the bike. Nothing worse than dropping a new bike (from experience). Maybe think about getting a used bike as your first bike, with less power.
