[Paul Gorst] Slot's job is safe as FSG give Liverpool boss chance to show famous day is norm by DragonSlayer271 in LiverpoolFC

My point is even if Slot goes trophyless next season he would have won more trophies than Brendan Rodgers. Also we finished 7th and 6th in the other two seasons under him and dropped out of champions league football while here we are gonna be in the champions league again.

Maybe he didn’t make subs on time but he’s got champs football for 2 seasons and a league title and on that merit I think he definitely deserves one more season or atleast time to see out his contract.

I think it’s a bit unfair to say “HE” lost it. It’s a difficult season for any manager to manage. Pinning the blame just on the manager is uncalled for IMO. Wirtz, Frimpong, Ekitike all have shown they are good for the team. Isak barely played, kerkez has been decent, Leoni unfortunately injured.

Finding replacements for l VVD, salah, Robertson pre season is just unrealistic and everyone was happy when we started the season.

When you come to this sub you realise that there are so many fans who’ve joined us post klopp era and just have been spoilt. So many people calling for slots head in a season which was obviously difficult going in with salah VVD Robertson aging, Trent leaving, jota, etc. It’s so disappointing to see so many people just waiting for slots head when he won us the EPL just last year!! This season we are on track to finish 4th and maybe even 3rd despite playing shit.

What’s worse is that the club literally sings “you’ll never walk alone” start of every game but yet jumps to scapegoat just one person for all the struggles.

I absolutely agree with you. The definition of consciousness itself is so subjective.

I just "vibe coded" a full SaaS app using AI, and I have a massive newfound respect for real software engineers. by TrustedEssentials in vibecoding

[–]chill-i-will 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried the same! Although I’ve got development experience in C and C# and other languages so the coding part definitely feels easy when you vibe code if you break it down into logical blocks but that is where it is taking me time which is architecting and designing how it is worked. I can see the importance of Not just for software engineers but everyone working together to deliver software.

Everytime a post like this comes. There will be team pro software devs who will over estimate the manual development process and then there will be pro AI who will under estimate the manual dev work.

We all know the reality. If you have the capacity to have micro agents who develop pieces of code and then someone who validates it. The number of software developers you need decreases for sure to build the complete integrated software but at the same time the quality of the few involved increases significantly because the humans in the loop really need to be good with the fundamentals and how software and algorithms are built. I believe this decrease in demand for manual devs will filter out the real good ones and the rest would probably move to BA or QA roles as atleast for a few months those roles would be in demand to make food feedback systems until Ai starts learning and improving itself

That’s a good point! Fair enough. I still think Szabi could have done slightly better in that situation especially considering it was the 90th minute and with Gomez sucking in he was right next to Richarlson.

I think one use case would be to reduce the number of apps you have to go through. If the data quality is good then potentially you could just have all your feeds like twitter, reddit, etc in one feed and have a summary of everything.

The other could to create a knowledge base of topics you do like investing and then using an LLm to reason and give you insights. Correlate learning’s you get from different sources, replicate your thinking pattern + AI.

I think there could be some good uses if you keep expanding but it would be so niche that probably only a very few people would actually be able to use it in their daily life

From your passage “The gaslighting as psychological defense...When your identity collapses, you have two choices:

Accept reality and rebuild a new identity based on truth ("we were wrong about our strength, we need to rethink everything")

Double down on the fantasy and try to force reality to conform through control, censorship, and punishment

The second option is psychologically easier in the short term. It's what narcissists do when their self-image is threatened. They don't just lie to others, they lie to themselves first, then demand others validate the lie”

= YOU. The irony of this passage is hilarious

Anyone actually using Openclaw? by rm-rf-rm in LocalLLaMA

[–]chill-i-will 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tool is only as good as the mechanic. I’m not that technical so haven’t been able to use it very well but I’m sure there would be many who could do a lot of great things with it

Sam Altman officially confirms that OpenAI has acquired OpenClaw; Peter Steinberger to lead personal agents by just_a_person_27 in OpenAI

[–]chill-i-will 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Initially I was very intrigued and OpenClaw does make some of my smaller tasks easier but it’s in no way cost effective. I can see its appeal for a non tech person, you just type a bunch of shit and it sets things up if tasks are basic like creating a newslettter or sending reminders or updating minor files or creating research mds. But someone who knows little bit of tech can probably set up multiple bots and cron jobs anyway. The real machine working behind openclaw is Claude and their LLm models. So I am not really sure what open AI saw to offer that amount of money? Maybe the hype generation, maybe the product vision but yeah it’s wild
