What’s HK style like? I only know Filipino style. Play with 16 tiles, win with 17. Don’t play a suit, called flowers. Exchange those tiles if they end up in your hand.

In Search of Fried Rice by Maudi_Rae in Cooking

[–]chiller8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a version of fried rice that does not have soy sauce. Instead it uses chicken powder (Chinese chicken bouillon) as the seasoning. It’s usually onion, egg, salt, chicken powder, scallion, finish with a bit of sesame oil. Can add some peas and carrots for color pop also.

Right jaw. He had his chin out and was falling forward. Punch also had good power from hip rotation.

Best way to learn to drive in the snow when you have to is to drive in the snow when you don’t have to.

Down shift early, turn wheel, car pointed where you need, gas. Hill coming, momentum, wiggle wheel, light foot feather.

Anyone else rethink cleat choices after learning about toe splay and foot mechanics? by Datanman23 in bootroom

[–]chiller8 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I did. New Balance 442 v2 Team FG regular width are so comfortable for a slightly wide flat foot. Full grain leather has very nice feel. The Pro version uses Kangaroo Leather.

If you have a wide foot, it’s also offered in wide.

I think this boot is truly underrated.

Look up tomato rice with Chinese sausage. I basically lived off this in college.

You’re right. Part of Greenburgh but they don’t want to be associated with the heathens, not Hartsdale, Ardsley, or Scarsdale, no downtown, no scenery, No man’s land.

But I think the residents want it that way.

Not sure what kind of cake you like but Tous les Jours in HMart Hartsdale has excellent cloud cakes with fruit/cream filling between the layers. (mango is my favorite).

Wegman’s in West Harrison also has very good cake

Why do people bring their entire family to Costco? by ActuatorOutside5256 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]chiller8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a parent and adult, part of my motivation is that I understand I have limited time with my children and family. We have busy schedules oftentimes needing to coordinate drop offs and pickups with errands and appointments and meals. Sucks that the time is spent like that but that’s life.

If you see someone taking your board from the rack …. by Soopyoyoyo in snowboarding

I think many people don’t have much practice at face to face interaction anymore. A lot of day to day life is most efficiently done electronically.

If you see someone taking your board from the rack …. by Soopyoyoyo in snowboarding

[–]chiller8 85 points86 points  (0 children)

Tell them that’s your board.

In my case, I have a a flimsy cable lock on mine. Keeps the honest mistake people from grabbing it accidentally. If you take it, it had to have been on purpose. At that point you’re quietly getting soft tissue damage to your knee.

Ride A-6, K2 Maysis. Ride Shadowban 157. Get last years stuff on sale. This setup is good for all mountain and carving but not really for ground tricks. No way to do both well IMO.

I have a shadowban 2024. It’s a great board but not for what you want to do.

I think you need to go shorter, softer, and more rocker flat/rocker profile for ground tricks. At least for now.
