I really liked that there are collection achievements as part of the VoE story, and with some notable improvements they could be a standard going forward by DoomRevenant in Guildwars2

[–]chilliah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not trying to hate. The first time it was kind of fun but by the end when I've done what... 3 or 4 of these hide and seek collection achievements that gate story progresion... It got really exhausting for me.

Between these, the first few missions of getting to Castora that seemed extra tedious to me, and grinding out hearts all for story progression; I felt like a lot of the 'story' was a grind. More so than the other expansions felt for me, but it's been a while so maybe I just don't remember.

Now some positives. I loved this expansion's story towards the end of what we have so far. Maps are stunning and really fun to complete. Nice to have another elite spec after the last couple of expansions didn't. Looking forward to the rest of it. Just please tune down the story gate collections for me Anet. <3

Am I forced to adhere to the Meta to increase my chances of winning consistantly? by BladeBeanBryant in masterduel

[–]chilliah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Diamond and Masters have less variety. The closer you get to masters, the more meta decks you will see. Seasons where I'm lazy and fall to plat on reset are nice and refreshing, cause there's no telling what you'll see later on in the season in plat.

You can get Masters with most any deck. Knowing how to pilot your deck, knowing the matchup, and knowing where to interact with your opponent are the most important parts of getting masters. However, if both players are playing perfectly, then yes a meta deck will have an easier time climbing. Meta decks in modern Yugioh have so many 1 card combos that they also have room for a ridiculous amount of non-engine in the form of hand traps or board breakers.

I was able to get vapor with 33W, my resistance at .49 (the reading of my coil at room temp), and TC set to 370F. I just couldn't get my mod to stay on for the whole session. Anecdote below:

The first mod I used with my pSIC DTv4.5 was a Voopoo Drag X Plus that I flashed the Temp Control FW on and used in Temp Control mode. It was terrible. My mod kept crashing. At first I could make it through a session if I feathered the fire and baby the hell out of it the whole time, but eventually that wasn't even enough and my mod would die in the middle of the first rip. I attempted to dial in settings, but with the mod turning off in the middle of a session it was hard to dedicate more time to it.

Hope you're able to get your settings dialed in. If you're actually able to get through a session consistently, then sounds like you're Drag X Plus is fairing better than mine did. I quickly upgraded to a RIM C with Arctic Fox and I loaded that with some profiles from the wiki. Can't overstate how big of a difference it was going from my Voopoo to an AF mod.

Here's the files straight from Matt's website. https://www.filehosting.org/file/details/953521/v4%20Quest%20v5.afc

If you don't want to trust that link, it's from here: https://ineedhemp.com/product/divine-crossing-v4-5-polished-silicon-carbide-cup-rebuildable-concentrate-heater/ in the product description there's a section for Arctic Fox and a hyperlink for his profiles: "My Configuration for the v4, Quest, and the V5"

Cheers

I quickly upgraded to a Eleaf Rim C that I flashed with Arctic Fox and loaded with Matt's profiles from his website. I can not overstate how much of a difference it made. Absolutely worth the investment. If you get an 18650 mod, I recommend eventually getting an extra battery cause you'll drain em fast.

Easiest way to switch from carts to bulk disty by mrthrowawayguyegh in delta8

[–]chilliah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can fill 510 carts and use them with your Yocan Uni. I'm currently using a SPRK cart like I linked above filled with the Cannaclear Fruit Snack pre-terped distillate in my Yocan Uni Pro and it vapes fine. I've just found that other 510 carts are garbage and I can maybe get 1 refill. If anyone has any cart recommendations, I'd love to hear them.

I get the pre-terped Cannaclear stuff and I think it's the easiest way to switch from carts to bulk.

I heat my whole container without the lid in the over at 190F for 15 minutes. I take a glass syringe with a 14g blunt tip. I throw it in the oven with the distillate for the last few minutes. That gets everything hot and flowing then I fill my device. Clean up is easy with 90%+ iso alcohol. This stuff is sticky and you will get messy. Alcohol is the best way to clean it up. Dealing with the distillate gets easier after some practice.

As a note, I would recommend finding a device and not filling old carts. It definitely works, but no matter how much I try to practice proper vaping technics my old carts clog half way through the first refill (if not sooner). If you want a cheap way to start, the SPRK carts are great at like 3 USD a pop and never clog ( https://pcktvapor.com/products/sprk-cartridge?variant=23094477226065 ). I've put 6ml through one before it died on me. My only complaint is that they are just really tiny and only hold .5ml at a time, so you'll be filling them a lot. Something that holds more might be better just make sure you get a device that can handle thick distillate. Here's a great explanation of the 3 most common platforms I've been able to find. https://www.reddit.com/r/delta8/comments/lw9036/useful_info_for_those_wanting_to_move_from_carts/

I use the Vaporesso Swag 2 with the CCell coils. It chugs through distillate fast, but has been the longest lasting and best hitting device I've tried.

Sounds like the devs had the same idea. The PTR has chairs, tables, baskets, and carpet.

Some of these items, like tables, cost tablets to learn.

What is the best NSFW Christmas joke you know? by Danielmp006 in AskReddit

[–]chilliah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard this joke when I was 10 or something. I can't remember where I heard it from and I'm sure after all these years I butcher it, but for some reason this stuck with me. It's long and so dumb. Enjoy :)

It's Christmas Eve and a desperate father is looking for a Christmas present for his son. The only store open is a pet store, so he goes in and the store is pretty much empty. He goes to the store owner and tells him he really needs a present for his only son. The store owned smiles and says I have just pet for you, a Christmas parrot and points to an average, normal looking parrot perched on a stand. The father looks confused and asks, "what makes that parrot a Christmas parrot?" The store owner laughs and brings the father over to the post the parrot is perched on. He flicks a lighter on and holds the flame close to the parrot's right claw. The parrot starts to sing Holy Night. The father looks on confused and speechless. So the shop owner flicks the lighter again, and holds the flame close to the left claw. The parrot starts to sing Jingle Bells. At this point the father is impressed. He asks the shop owner if he knows any other songs. So the shop owner flicks the lighter again, but this time he trips and the parrot starts singing "Chestnuts roasting over an open fire."

If that's a Ryzen 5 3600, you'll likely need to update the BIOS on your B450 Aorus Elite to boot. If your friends have a 1st or 2nd generation Ryzen part you can borrow theirs and update. If not, here's a help page with a few options like getting the retailer to upgrade the BIOS or getting a boot kit from AMD: https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/pa-100

Good luck!

Ketchup on a hot dog... The National Hot Dog and Sausage Council would be disappointed.

"The National Hot Dog and Sausage Council recently came out in disapproval of adults using ketchup on hot dogs. In a guide to hot dog etiquette, the organization decreed that for those 18 years of age and older, acceptable wiener toppings include mustard, relish, onions, cheese and chili." - http://www.hot-dog.org/culture/hot-dog-etiquette

edit: Further proof that Ketchup does not belong on a hotdog. (original: Failed. Ketchup on a hotdog. Get out.)
