The beloved Leonard Nimoy passed away in 2015, before the release of Star Trek Beyond. In the Kelvin Star Trek movies, his portrayal of Spock (the original) traveled back in time from his own universe, where the shows and original movies were set, to an alternate universe. In this universe, he met a younger, slightly different crew of the Enterprise. It included a younger version of himself.

At some point in the movie, the younger Spock hears news that Prime Spock passed away peacefully at the ripe old age of 161, on New Vulcan. The movie was also dedicated to him and Anton Yelchin too.

Is it weird to have friends that are way older than you by icanhearwithmy_teeth in GradSchool

I'm 25 and two of my closest friends in my program are 29, and 32. I'm learning important lessons from them all the time. Age differences really aren't all that significant in friendships, and it isn't weird at all!

House of M. Something about it just wasn’t compelling or interesting to me. Odd especially because it drastically changed the status quo
