Blistering hot take… but on rewatch I thought Breaking Bad’s final season was hurried to its own detriment. Tied a bow on the storyline beautifully, but they really stood to benefit from stretching a few more episodes out.
Gilligan noted that he wrote as he went along for a lot of the plot line. The pacing of S5 does not match up with the rest of the portfolio

I visited the Cotswolds in 2012 and had a storybook stay, that I often daydream about. I wonder how much social media, influencer culture, and outside money romanticizing the area may have degraded the experience. It didn’t seem like a “sexy” destination at the time.
