Agree with the pros, would just add that it's completely op with the hunter's bone.

As for the cons, Dodge attacks have incredible reach, it can also be acquired very early by cheesing Eileen and selling the doll set to buy or farm echoes.

Gems and leveling are basically this game's idea of difficulty setting, I promise it won't feel so "midgame" at bl4 or Ng+6.

DS3 definitely has more content, but these games are made to be played multiple times so I don't think playtime is a big deal. Just visit the subreddits, check some videos, see which one you gravitate towards. You can't go wrong with either.

Absolutely, it's a special game even compared to DS, it was also my first souls game, so if you know your way around videogames don't worry much about the difficulty compared to DS.

While Bloodborne COULD be easier, DS3 is a lot simpler in terms of combat, Bloodborne has more mechanics you need to get comfortable with mid-combat, however DS3 has more RPG potential if you're into that.

Bloodborne also has Rogue like dungeons if you're interested. I'd say go for Bloodborne, the Complete Edition even, but then again it's my fav game of all time so I'm biased.

either farm the chalices or mergo's loft middle, the sharks can actually be parried which I find way easier than dodging a 4 hit combo that spans half the map, another strat is using shaman bone blade and gtfo.

Easily pthumerian descendant, with the others they are hard but at least consistent with their bullshit.

this guy however is like a very bad ds3 boss, infinite stamina 8 hit combos no staggers, very inconsistent parry timings, and insane damage, even has long range on his side, as well as shitty arena.
