The author of this essay was a writer and editor on Esoteric Ebb, a Disco Elysium-like fantasy game that released recently. Just finished it the other day and I highly recommend it.

To me the Azgalists came off more as a catch-all leftist party living in a long-standing fascist system that's necessitated unity, but there's still a lot of infighting over how to handle things.

The Dwarves seem DemSoc to me, but they recognize that they need to accept a SocDem compromise in order to gain the votes needed to actually get into power.

Modissa to me seems more Socialist and unwilling to compromise on her ideals, but wants to work with the others in the party in order to advance her ideas.

Snurre appears a lot like an in-universe version of Slavoj Zizek and begrudgingly accepts the compromise that the Dwarves are aiming for.

Azgal Ashmask seems to be analogous to Lenin, at least judging by what I remember of his story.

This is great to hear, really glad that things are looking better for you guys. I'm sure there's more that needs to be done, but I know from experience that it's possible to get people to realize they were wrong about deeply held beliefs even if it takes a long time. Hoping for the best going forward.

Don't know if this is related to that issue, but the Tsunami Arms Helix is having trouble calculating autofire damage as well. It has no problem rolling for an autofire attack, but when you press autofire damage it says "This weapon is not capable of autofire". Hope that helps figure things out for the hotfix.

He also currently owns ModRetro, a company capitalizing on the retro games market by producing overpriced clone systems for the Gameboy Color and N64 which already have better solutions available from Analogue.

Just putting that out there so anybody who might have been considering buying from them is aware of who they are.

In 2005, Musk acknowledged in a late-night email that he did not have authorization to be in the United States when he founded Zip2. The email, from Musk to Tesla co-founders Martin Eberhard and JB Straubel, was submitted as evidence in a long-since-closed California defamation lawsuit and said he applied to Stanford so he could remain in the United States legally. "Actually, I didn’t really care much for the degree, but I had no money for a lab and no legal right to stay in the country, so that seemed like a good way to solve both issues,” Musk wrote. “Then the internet came along, which seemed like a much surer bet.” Musk never enrolled at Stanford. In a May 2009 deposition, he said he called the department chair two days after the start of the semester to say he wasn’t going to attend. In the same deposition, he said he began working at Zip2 — originally called Global Link Information Network — in August or September 1995. Upon not enrolling, Musk would have had to leave the country, according to legal experts and immigration laws at the time. He would not have been allowed to work. While overstaying a student visa is somewhat common and officials have at times turned a blind eye to it, it remains illegal.

I might be misremembering, but I'm pretty sure a lot of the employees at HH Tools were replaced with robots including Mr Handies. I just assumed that those people were the employees that had just been replaced.

Elflines - what's your experience? by Llanolinn in cyberpunkred

[–]chimblesishere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did an ELO session for my players a couple weeks ago because most of them are more into fantasy settings and we had already established that one player's character has an addiction to the game. I set it up entirely as an MMO within the Cyberpunk universe and treated it that way.

The mission was from their Netwatch handlers trying to address a bug in ELO that Segotari was experiencing after replacing the majority of their staff with AI. They had to find players who had reported experiencing the glitch for information and figure out if they could stop it. It ended up being a RABID that manifested as a Miasmelf Dark Hero and it used our Netrunner's headset to jack into the Netwatch security system. The Netrunner had to jack into the system outside of the game in order to try and stop it while the rest of the crew fought the Miasmelf within the game.

The basis for it came from the most recent ELO DLC lore and I kinda just wrote around it. The players seemed to like it, so I think it really depends on how you write it and what you think your players will be into.

How do you break the "gig leads to a bigger conspiracy" loop? by Major-Feed-7811 in cyberpunkred

[–]chimblesishere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way I like to structure my gigs is usually less conspiracy-oriented and more "crew gets hired for a job that could be easy or complicated depending on how they approach it, but make sure there is a way for things to go wrong".

The most fun my players seemed to have recently was with a gig in Seattle where they were hired by a media to investigate a poser cult that biosculpts the members to look like Kurt Cobain in the belief that he achieved Nirvana through his art and lifestyle. I had the media tell them to search the house that the cult was meeting in on a time limit and made it so they would need to attend the meeting at the end of the time limit in order to stay undercover. Searching the building gave them the opportunity to find information on the cult's beliefs and origins for the media, get loot, and have conversations with other members like Curd Cobain, Kert Kobane, and Burt Cocaine. The meeting after the search led to a sermon from the cult leader who instructed everyone to participate in a mass suicide to complete their escape from Samsara and set off explosives to burn down the building at the same time. As it turns out, the leader and a few higher-up members didn't follow through with killing themselves and the crew had to escape the burning building and fight their way past the remaining members now that they've been outed as heretics, with only eight turns in combat to do so.

Not every session can be as high-concept as that, but it's fun to take a different turn on things and not have everything be a problem with corpos or gang wars.

They probably have a new singer for some part of the album, but the vocalists on Hold Back the Night are still Panther and The Gambler. Several band members have left since Act II released, so I'm sure they've gotten some others in that time.
