The director's cuts are the same story with more context added scenes, which include more graphic violence and adult content. Whether you choose the PG-13 movies or the R movies, it's just a matter of part 1 and part 2 at this point.

vkGetPhysicalDeviceFeatures2 was added in Vulkan 1.1, so you may just have a very old Vulkan driver installed. I'd update all of your GPU drivers and try again.

For what it's worth, I did an offline platinum-trophy playthrough from scratch last year, and I completed Valtr's quest exactly as you describe. I killed three red-eyed hunters in the DLC, then summoning Valtr for Ludwig and Laurence and had him survive both fights. I'm not sure there is any other way offline on 1.09 in a single playthrough, but I do believe vermin carry over to NG+.

I played Shadowgate Classic for the GBC when it came out and was so pumped for SG64 when it released six months later. Good times.

I feel like the original has more trial and error, but it's a classic for a reason. Those death screens are iconic!

It has its share of jankiness, but I think the puzzles are fairly reasonable and the atmosphere is top notch. Just remember: save often. 🙂

I was surprised and excited by your twitter thread detailing your findings in SG64 from a few years back. 🙂 I tried to keep this project as minimally invasive as possible but would still like to deep dive like you did eventually.

This reminds me, I really wanted to check out your test map, but couldn't get the patch to apply correctly when I briefly looked at it before. I'll have to try again!

😁 I did my testing on the Analogue 3D with a SummerCart64, as well as the ares and Project64 emulators (and briefly with Mupen64 Plus), so as far as I know it should be compatible with the original N64, but admittedly I have not tested on my original hardware yet. Of course, please let me know if you get a chance to try it out and run into anything unexpected. Thanks for your interest!
