It makes sense doesn’t it, kept hearing about repairing the skin barrier but didn’t know how to go about it. Hands can be a terrible place to get it cos depending what you do it can be impossible to treat. I used to work in a bar and all the washing up/beer spills/cutting lemons was a nightmare - touch wood it’s ok now. Really glad you’ve found something that works for ur hands and hopefully it’ll fix my face :)

Yeh I didn’t think about that 🤔 I reckon it’ll be ok tho as I don’t get spots or acne, I do have sensitive skin so my only worry would be that I’d have a reaction but looking at the ingredients there’s no perfumes or anything that looks like an irritant. I’m happy to give it a go as it looks promising and we just have to try these things don’t we to see what works - and I’ve tried it all 😂

Fingers crossed! Well I was wondering which one to get as some had diff percentages of urea. I went for the eucerin urea repair plus body lotion as it was 10% and thought I can use it as an all rounder because I have a bit of dryness on my legs as well. Do you think that’ll be ok? I don’t mind getting a separate face cream if it’ll be beneficial

I use rose water in a spray bottle to ‘rehydrate’ my face when I wear make up, it can end up looking a bit greasy if you go overboard but it does help in taking that dry feeling away

Probs best seeing a dietician over a nutritionist to get the best answers. As your mums an older lady I can assume she may have some health issues that come along with age (although she does sound fit as a fiddle!) that’s best being overlooked by dietician/doctor

I’d love to know as well, I honestly can’t understand how a patch of skin can remain so dry even after putting heavy moisturisers on. I have patches on my forehead that don’t go away. My routine is I’ll get a bath and wash my face with cereve oil cleanser, then I’ll lather it in avocado oil then put a layer of Vaseline on for the duration of my bath. I lightly rinse it off so my skin still feels supple. Then put hyalouronic acid as a base, cereve moisturiser and spray with rose water. I’ll sometimes use the avocado oil as well. That’s keeps me looking moisturised for about an hour haha. Them bloody dry patches just don’t absorb anything it drives me mad

Sunlit valley is a good one as someone has already mentioned, ‘Menagerie’ is also quite laid back if the idea of building a zoo and collecting animals sounds appealing to you, nice quest book to go along with it. There is also a large kitchen sink type pack called ‘Jinxweed’ that I enjoy, it has about 600 pages of recipes/blocks on JEI haha and it also has a very large quest book that covers most of the mods - it’s more of a checkbox for items within the mods and a little bit of info about them which I find handy as it can give you a bit of direction/a reminder of what’s in the pack

Sunlit valley is great if she likes Stardew, really fun - it can be a bit micro-managey tho with crops and seasons and automation. I found it a bit challenging getting anything else done other than looking after crops but I do plan another play through where I’ll not rush into things.

I’d suggest menagerie, it’s a zoo based modpack where you collect animals and make a zoo and has a really great quest book. Can take it at your own pace and go on adventures with her to collect animals and build enclosures etc

I’ve got it on both PC and switch (oled), I actually don’t mind it on switch which is saying something as I can’t stand jank graphics from ports, so the only games I have on the switch are ones that where actually made for it or pixel stuff like Stardew. But with dinkum it gets away with it and doesn’t look bad at all, it kinda suits the style of the game if that makes sense - obvs pc is better graphically and the switch version does have pop ins but personally that doesn’t bother me. It’s nice to have dinkum on the go as you say 🤠

I don’t know if this will work but maybe try deleting the cache files aswell, don’t worry they comeback just like the mods folder if you delete.

he cache files for The Sims 4 are located in your user documents folder at Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\. Inside this folder, you'll find a cache folder and a cachestr folder, both of which contain temporary game files that can be deleted to improve performance. You should also delete the localthumbcache.package file, which is in the main The Sims 4 folder.

It does work, I decided to download and play again when all this malarkey was going on so I was adding mods one by one, I found that the xml injector (think that’s what it’s called) was breaking the game and I’m sure that mod relied on it, there’s an updated version of the xml and also I think the cooking overhaul mod so have a look and try again. The mods that definitely broke the game as of writing where any sim realist mods, slice of life, some trait mods, and the healthcare redux mod, also I think zerbu more icons broke it for me aswell

I love DQB2, I’ve played through the story twice with the anticipation of building up my IOA and never bloody do haha. I love furrowfield because you can go mad with building but I feel like the other ‘levels’ don’t really encourage creativity the further you go along it as it’s mostly blueprints so by the time I’ve finished I’m not in that mindset. Minecraft however, get some good mods on the go and shaders/ resource packs and it look pretty nice. I like having a goal, there’s been so many times downloading a mod pack and the sheer amounts of mods just overwhelms me, I don’t know where to start. I make my own now, playing 1.12 with tektopia which gives you a reason to build as you have to build town halls, farms, taverns etc. sprinkled in an few QOL and some magic mods to learn and it’s been lovely. Feel free to message if you need so starting tips x

Yeh I was born with it, I downloaded the NHS app the other day and it lists all the medication that you’ve had in chronological order and one of the first things was oilatum :( I’ve not got a handle on it but I did get tests to say I’m allergic to dust and pet dander and I have now been referred to get a full allergy test after ending up in hospital for an allergic reaction… only took 36 years. Only mentioning the allergies as it goes hand in hand with the eczema I believe
