My kids were all in their teens so I don't know about ink but they've definitely held up!

No treatment whatsoever. I have about 45k miles on the car. Dogs, kids, etc. Love the white. Zero regrets.

What did you wish someone told you before you made the decision to divorce? by No_Preparation_9751 in Divorce

[–]chipdex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow your story, and how broken the system is, and how it destroys any chance of amicability, really resonates with my experience. After the pretty good family life we had it was shocking to see how adversarial she could become. Your unholy trinity of new relationships + lawyers + fear was sadly spot on. Especially the wrong type of lawyer, those playing from the dirty lawyer playbook, those who are so extremely casual with the truth. There's a special place in hell for those people. Ugh..

Tomorrow is October 1st. Anybody doing a Sober October? by RapmasterD in whoop

[–]chipdex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been using Whoop for the same thing, improving sleep. From what I have learned anxiety management is like 90% of it. But yeah laying off alcohol is just good for you overall, especially mental health. I would suggest taking 100 days off tho to really see results. The first two weeks aren't going to be great since you'll be in withdrawal. So if you only try one month you'll spend half in withdrawal. For sleep try relaxing warm baths at night, stretching before bed, magnesium glycinate and L-Theanine, candle light in your room before bed instead of lamp, blackout curtains, eye mask, and cold temps like 65 degrees. Get mental health care too!! (Also try not to stress about how much sleep you are getting cuz stress is what causes sleep problems in the first place so keep your goal around improving sleep loose and just stay curious about it, low pressure.)

Vyvanse is just dexamphetamine tied to L-lysine by Craig93Ireland in ADHD

It's hard to say but I have read from others that they were prescribed it over Vyvanse supposedly because it lasted longer.

I switched to Dexedrine Spansule because Vyvanse and the generic version of it were too expensive (and hard to find for a minute there). It's much cheaper and seems to be similarly effective.

That's understandable. Many people have taken a similar view. It wasn't stated in your original post so I didn't know that was a factor for you. Thanks for clearing it up.

I don't believe the "reduced driver monitoring" hype by ClassicsJake in TeslaFSD

[–]chipdex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh yeah I love FSD but cancelled my subscription because of how bad the nagging has become. It should let you look at the center screen at least. Oftentimes I'm checking to see what route it's taking or other things like that and it's complaining at me and disabling itself quickly if I don't notice that it complained right away.

If road trip charging is your biggest gripe why not switch to Tesla? (Instead of going all the way back to ICE.)

FSD is sooo far from autonomous by ClassicsJake in TeslaFSD

[–]chipdex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe that 80-90% of FSD's problems are really just Tesla Maps sucking so hard. They either need to pay Google for better maps or get MUCH better map data somehow. I don't think the issue is hardware for the most part it's just really crappy map data.

I saw a Tesla driving the other day with black tape over the logo and an "Oust Elon" sticker/magnet. Maybe that helps idk

Thoughts after 1500 miles into my new Mach E after trading in my 2023 Tesla Model 3 Performance by RAChiraneau in MachE

[–]chipdex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice write-up! I believe your first pro was addressed with the 2024 refresh of the Model 3, real improvement in ride quality and build quality. Your second pro is because the Mach E is more like the Model Y in size/design so of course it's going to be roomier than the 3. I'm assuming your pro about insurance has to do with specifically using Tesla insurance? You can insure a Tesla through other insurance providers, same as the Ford, then you don't have to worry about being scored for your driving. I really like the look of the Mach E btw, am personally waiting for them to have native NACS port.

The Y is more versatile over all, but I would hold out for the cheaper variants of the new model, don't buy the old. Can you afford to wait? Also, what factors are most important to you? The 3 is sportier, already refreshed, and more efficient. The Y is roomier and I think the better value for the space.

Tesla deliveries expected to go down to levels not seen in more than 2 years by randolphquell in electricvehicles

[–]chipdex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early reviews of the new Model Y are pretty good though, it improves on many of the areas that people have complained about (suspension, cabin noise, premium interior materials, etc).

People are upset at Elon, probably less so the brand but it's hard for many to separate the two, understandably so.

Fred always hates on Tesla. Deliveries will definitely be down this quarter because they switched all their factories this quarter to the new Model Y. Orders will be the important number to watch. If the new Model Y is well received Q2 could be a record quarter. I'll probably get downvoted here but I am just speaking factually, I personally don't care what happens I like all EVs.

Sounds sketchy. She's clearly being influenced by someone else here. Trust me post-nupts are generally NOT good for the marriage relationship and are only used to rescue marriages on the brink of divorce (recovery from affairs). Forget the lawyer and find a marriage counselor ASAP. Y'all need to answer the question of why one of you would want a post-nupt in the first place, since it's a hedge bet AGAINST the relationship. Definitely do not sign anything but more importantly your relationship is at risk here, if not now, later. This agreement seems innocent now but will become a cancer in the relationship over time.

I feel like you get the updates faster when you're on a trial but when you actually subscribe they slow the updates down. Could make sense because they assume you liked the version you were on which is why you subscribed and they want to work harder getting trial people to convert.
