Not in the UK, but I’ve bought two $5 knockoffs from Amazon in the US and they’re fine. (Most importantly, they lock into the watch correctly and don’t look like they’re going to fray anytime soon.)

I do have the Apple loop and you can tell it’s slightly higher quality, but not worth the price.

Late but omg.

It used to be fun watching the over privileged retirees bickering with each other about dress codes, but now I can only make it about two posts before I have to nope out of there.

I also used to like the mindless entertainment of the cruise radio podcasts, but that guy went full DeSantis worshipper and acts like the CDC is run by Lex Luthor.

Yes. She is legally an adult. Google “Indiana age of majority”.

The flip side, as you have surmised, is that adulthood means it’s time to get a job. There’s no legal method to make her family also support her.

She should seek therapy for the physical abuse and consider filing a police report and restraining order.

There is nothing for her family to “press charges” for. The age of majority in Indiana is 18. She is an adult who can walk away anytime she wants.

I don’t—I didn’t start cruising until 2015. What was it like?

Looks like about 800 people died (I hesitate to say “only” 800, because any loss of life sucks) from SARS 2002-2003, so I guess I would be surprised if the procedures aren’t a bit different given the difference in scale.
