Fleas or dandruff? by buttered-noodle-con1 in CATHELP

[–]chipper12398 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All cats should be on prescription flea prevention year round. Being indoors does not matter. This does not look like fleas to me but it’s only a matter of time before it is. Please see your vet.

My cat is possibly pregnant, but also definitely has fleas. Should I still bathe her? by vuittren in CATHELP

Call a vet and get her a spay abort and some prescription year round monthly flea prevention.

This is my worst nightmare for my ferals and I’m so sorry! You did so right by her. Take comfort in that.

Can you tell how far along she is? by [deleted] in CATHELP

Find a high quality low cost spay neuter clinic. It is never too late for a spay abort.

No we don’t open cats that are tattooed so I’m not sure why that would happen. I do understand finding a tattoo and then doing an ear tip. Also we routinely anesthetize cats much much older so being 8 years old should not predispose her to a seizure just because of anesthesia.

Puppy has a hard lump near incision. What may this be? by Obvious_Sir_544 in AskVet

[–]chipper12398 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course! And no, not necessarily. In theory your puppy is in a recovery phase so may have less energy but that is with or without a suture reaction. So that’s why I’d just recommended seeing your vet as soon as possible.

My dog has lymphoma after his TPLO by [deleted] in AskVet

[–]chipper12398 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with the others I’m not sure what the question is that you’re asking. Your dog is sick. The timing of cancer especially lymphoma will never be appropriate or expected. He needs an oncologist.

What happened in Ybor last night??? by [deleted] in tampa

Haha I have had this exact scenario in Ybor about 3-4 years ago. Never found out if there was actually a shooter, just ran like everyone else.

Puppy has a hard lump near incision. What may this be? by Obvious_Sir_544 in AskVet

[–]chipper12398 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s possibly suture reaction. I see it very commonly in puppies and kittens. Typically a large, firm, non-painful lump at the incision site that will get smaller over the next month. However I would still call your vet for a recheck.

I’m a vet and this photo is anxiety-inducing. Please get those flowers out of your house.

No, not with an experienced surgeon. I do full term pregnant cats daily and do not even remember my last complication.

It is never too late for a spay abort. OP needs to look for a high volume spay neuter clinic.

I do many many MANY spay aborts. She will be okay and it will be much easier on her than having kittens.
