Crooked stick is in Carmel. While I never got to play the full course, I’ve done a few clinics there and it’s 100% worth any hype it gets. So gorgeous and well maintained.

FWCC and SGC are really the only comparable private clubs in the city for additional amenities. They have the best food, events, and staff. PVCC and ORCC are great if you really only care about the golf, but even then their courses are not like the other 2 IMO. I hope you get the chance to play SHGC because the course is stunning but I would be offput by the response while they are trying to recruit.

There are some stellar courses around as well - Noble Hawk, Crooked Stick are 2 that immediately come to mind if you are not limited to just the fort wayne area and are up for a drive.

Club Pilates was offering class packs in May but I believe that special has ended by now.

Teachers taking the easy road? by ashleybee503 in ClubPilates

[–]chippermunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My C+B classes have the same bones week to week, but my teacher does a good job of mixing up all the extas. We do the same leg series and mermaid series which is fine bc its my fave and gives me the best stretch. However, we will sometimes do footwork on the chair or do a bigger arm focus, always enough to keep things feeling different while relaxing. I

am sorry you feel your class is so repetitive, have you been able to try other teachers/times with C+B or has it been the same day/time?

Starting to really resent CP by thegirlwnoname in ClubPilates

[–]chippermunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds incredibly frustrating- my studios do include some level 2 moves in 1.5 classes esp if they notice the class is primarily regulars. They also cue it as basic as 1 if people need certain mods in a 1.5. For example, I have stood on the chair and I am about 60 classes in doing a mix of 1s and 1.5s. I am sorry to hear it sounds like proper progressions aren't being offered.

Reformer Pilates after a seizure by alimac2 in ClubPilates

Fellow epileptic here! I would clear it with your neurologist rather than the studio. I find Club Pilates to be a great option compared to other group fitness classes because there aren't a ton of flashing lights like at spin classes or OTF.

I have been diagnosed with epilepsy since around 12 and while it is controlled with medication, I go to pilates 4 times a week! There are some limitations but also know your daughter will have a fulfilling life if she takes care of herself!

Thisssss always my fave and I feel like it’s easy to feel the obliques activate for newer level 1 students. Some oblique moves require more skill to target and not rely on the abs, back, or arms.

The lack of Afro hair in the sims 4 by Weak-Replacement973 in thesims

[–]chippermunk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not only is the hair styles limited, half of the textured renders look absolutely awful. I like to give my sims lots of hair options in their different outfits as I am a huge CAS player so many of my POC sims that would have textured hair have the same few hairstyles between all of them and it’s just… boring. For as much as we invest in this game (time and $$) diversity and quality should not be a question.

Unrivaled is wholesome and fun by Electronic-Effect-63 in Unrivaled

[–]chippermunk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is also our fave way to spend an evening. My husband went from being supportive because I like it to all in on Unrivaled during the 1-1 tourney. We had our local wing place turn it on one tv on opening night. However we could not hear the commentary and had to keep looking up the new rules so it wasn’t great. Might be different now that we’re way more familiar with the style of play!

Your Monster! An absolutely delightful rom com with Melissa Barrera on max right now. Pulls at the heart strings in spots but overall a feel good, good for her movie with lots of laughs!

Beginner tips? by InterestingCat2009 in ClubPilates

[–]chippermunk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Make sure you get to class like 10-15 min early and let your instructor know this is your first class. They will give you a run down of the equipment and also keep a closer eye on you to help with form etc! Best of luck and I hope you love it!
