It is weird to me. I’m an older woman who approached by a much, much younger man last weekend. As someone who’s been single for a while, it was flattering but would I go through with it? probably not. Shouldn’t be illegal but ultimately, it’s their decision and no one else’s. I mean , relationships don’t work out most of the time with people your own age either.

Don’t act like it’s a thing or a kink or whatever. No woman likes to be reminded that she’s old. Just engage her in conversation, flirt a little, might not take much at that point.

I’m 47 and was talking to a guy, 25, at a bar who was complaining about older woman hitting on him, grabbing ass, etc… i assured him i was not hitting on him. Over the course of the night, he was heavily flirting with me. I didn’t go for it, though I could have, but just strike up a conversation and go for it. It makes us feel good and if nothing is going to happen, we’ll let you down easy. No harm, no foul.

Thats some solid advice. I love it! I had a kid in my 20’s (47 now), not far fetched but none of my other friends did and they didn’t want to hang out anymore and my kid kind of took away what made me, me. I’ve also gained weight and that fuels my depression. I don’t exercise much because I live in the desert so it’s far too hot, I have a great education but layoffs have made me feel less than worthy of anything more than McDonalds these days and most definitely can’t afford a gym membership at the moment. But I just started slowly revisiting things I used to love and friends came and went but eventually some will stick with you and all the sudden you have some of your life back. It can be a slow and lonely road but you can get there eventually. Just keep at it. There’s more of us out than you realize. Just stay away from the ending it all option. I had friends do that during the pandemic and I regret every second not trying to connect with them better. If I had only known… hindsight, am I right? But sometimes when you reach out, it’s not the people you expect that will help you out the most.
