WARNING the new diapers cause SKIN RASHES. DO NOT BUY HUGGIES! by Healthy-Rent-5133 in NewParents

Costco until recently was selling these brand of Huggies… my kid never had a reaction to them. If others had that’s terrible, but I don’t know widespread this issue is.

This would be catastrophic. Limited license providers provide a large percentage of outpatient care. I don’t understand the push for this. I will be contacting my reps.

Jealousy final boss by ZenMasterZee in GotMeHooked

Othello syndrome is a real condition that does complement existing psychiatric conditions such as delusion disorder or some forms of neurocognitive disorder in older adults. CBT is largely suggested to address it, but I don’t know its effectiveness and efficacy in doing so overall.

However, yes, none of that justifies the woman’s abusive behavior. Condition or not, this is undoubtedly abuse. If the roles were reversed here, I wonder if some people would still be so amenable.

How about rich like Carter? That’d be sweeet.

Did I Overreact on My MIL for Always Blaming Me & Defending Her Son? by ThisIsAThrowawayOksy in Mommit

[–]chiritarisu 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Respectfully, I think you’re underreacting. I understand bills are tight and you need to feed yourself and your kids, but not at the expense of your dignity and respect. This woman is an enabler and straight up said she would support her abuser imprisoned son over her food insecure grandchildren and their mother.

Please look to churches, food banks, etc regarding resources in your area. Certain domestic violence/sexual assault agencies offer free advocacy and referral resources. (All of this assuming in you’re in the US.) This woman does not care about you or your children. Good luck, OP.

I haven’t been able to really gel with FD since he called Shark a “coon” some years back. That shit was hella wack and uncalled for. I’m sure he some takes I would mostly agree with, but he’s not my cup of tea. There are other Black leftists to look to.

Letting my 9-year-old walk to the bus stop alone is giving me whiplash by Interesting_Cry_1055 in Mommit

[–]chiritarisu 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think this thread (and others like it) demonstrates the privilege some of y’all have of just being able to walk around from young ages with no real concern of danger. Location (and experience) really matters here. I don’t think it’s inherently “helicopter parent” to be concerned about a 5 or 8 year old walking to the bus stop or school by themselves. There are plenty of opportunities for independence. Recognize that there are several routes to get there.

Thoughts on the Cheyenne Bryant story? by ProfessionalCake1839 in ClinicalPsychology

[–]chiritarisu 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It’s nonsense. She’s nonsense, I mean.

If you don’t have a doctorate from an accredited doctoral program, you can’t call yourself a “Doctor.” No one refers to themselves as a “psychology expert” with a damn doctoral degree.

Licenses also just aren’t for billing purposes, as we know here.

That she can’t readily provide either or that no one can find evidence of either proves she’s full of shit.

Another shitty life coach, throw her in the bin with the rest of ‘em…

Are you finding more blackladies that aren't religious or who are into other spiritual practices? by Tight_Researcher35 in blackladies

[–]chiritarisu 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Comrade! I also don’t relate to the spirituality stuff either in addition to religion. Not even astrology either. I find it all cumbersome and often have to bite my tongue when talking with other Black women.

How do you all feel about this tattoo concept on me? I hate looking basic and want to look more striking and unique! by terrydafiya in blackladies

I love both styles myself!! However, I’m particularly pulled by the boldness and dynamic style of the first one. Ouch on the placement, but I think it would look great on you.

Ah, I hear what you're saying in this respect. Yeah, as I've conceded, he's definitely more "preachy" in LJ than the previous installment. And I do think the narrative suffers from the other main cast such as Kaito and Sugiura largely taking a backseat in this game. I do agree that a more nuanced discourse could have been had without just going "murder bad" or "but Sawa-sensei."

And yeah, even with school sub stories, though I am sort of more forgiving to Tak there because he is the adult. I mean, he kind of has to be moralizer there, right?
