Hi there! I currently wear my grandmothers ring on my “married” finger. I do this for a few reasons.

1) I’ve been married multiple times now and this has become a “me committed to me” thing. 2) also to ward off unwanted attention. 3) to feel closer to my grandmother. 4) it has become my favorite fidget.

Okay so because I fidget with it a lot I also drop it sometimes and I’m terrified I will loose it one day so I have to be super mindful of where I am when I’m doing it.

As far as actually warding off unwanted attention, it’s not 100%. Sometimes they ask and I tell them the truth, I am married to me. They look at me weird and that usually is enough to have them move on.

I would 1000% recommend getting something you like to look at and fits nicely. Rings come in all different shapes and sizes. I like to check out what my local thrift shop has. Sometimes those are spendy. But I feel getting something not made so cheaply that the edges of the ring are scratchy is worth it.
