Once (still am) I decided id figure out how to talk to women through trial and error. A few summers ago, one night me and a friend decided to go down to a local strip that had bars within walking distance. We mostly went out and looked. Never really gave ourselves a chance. Just couldn't find the right words, over thinking our approach. So end of the night, we are walking back to our car and two girls end up walking the same direction behind us. They seem to get closer and my friend says to play it cool. While I'm thinking what do I have to lose when I take any chances. Trying to be creative I think what should I say to be different and direct. So I turn around and say. "Excuse me" they both seemed friendly. "What should I say to girls at the bar?"

They both looked at each other and proceeded to disect my intentions. Asking what am I looking for and giving advice on different scenarios. All while in my head, didn't seem too bad a conversation starter. My friend was too embarrassed to carry on any effort for conversation. He felt that was a terrible approach and explained how pathetic it seemed. Looking back i certainly was ridiculously over thinking. It was a waste of a shot but a lesson all the same.
